We bought this exact same model and it was a total waste of money. The plastic pieces are well made but the marble-run doesn't really work without some serious intervention.

The marbles rarely make it up through the loop using the POS launcher. When the marbles are released from the top using the gate, they almost always get stuck at the bottleneck. Extremely frustrating experience for your kids.

The most enjoyable component for them was device at the top of the ramp which plays admittedly cool theme music. Save your money.

Literally had this in my cart last night for target, didn't realize it was on sale (since target doesn't show the previous price on all price changes) pulled the trigger Smilie!

Watching this long enough can cause you to lose your marbles

For a Christmas gift, I bought one of the other VTech Marble sets for my kids, and they really like it. This will be a nice addition to the set we already have.

We have this set and as an adult I really loved coming up with different ways the balls could travel for my son to watch it all move. I'm a programmer and so thinking in what ifs is really natural way of building this. However, my biggest complaint is how you are limited in how you can build based on the pieces you have. So what that means is as you go higher you need to use pisces of track as a base, so it's very limited in how high or how many different things you can do so after a few builds it gets boring fast. I wouldn't buy it again

I disagree with your comments. If you assembled it correctly, it works great. I agree that the launcher could have been better and it needs to be hit with a certain amount of force for it to work. But do it a couple of times and you will get a hang of it. It's got 3 different configurations that you can create and my kid enjoys playing with it.

Any kids will have a hard time using the launcher. I'm able to get it to work about 1 out of 4 tries. My 8 year old can get it to work 1 out of 10. Seem they didn't test it. It gets worse, there's a course using the launcher that throws marble up in the air and suppose to drop into a funnel. WTF were they thinking

The one I bought, the ramp was missing that top piece which makes the tunnel at the top so I couldn't even use the launcher because the ball would go flying off the course. Had to return it after building all of it and realizing it was missing the piece.

I completely disagree. This is the best toy my 3 year old spends time with. This toy is designed to be creative, help with your technical skills. I bought 3 different sets and now my boy tries to build something new, not only from the included instruction book.
The best $15 you can ever spend for solid technical toy.
