Warning: My Remote pro came with Prime Video, Netflix and DirecTv and Peacock buttons, not Disney+ and Hulu like my previous remotes.

There is a hack, but I am really disappointed.

It seems like Amazon has changed this on all their new devices. I purchased a couple of 4k max for Christmas and a cube earlier this month. They all have these change in buttons. Seems like the new standard moving forward.

Never even knew these were a thing. The Amazon Fire TV remotes tend to go on sale from time to time so I expect this one to eventually do so as well.

It almost a certainty that companies pay for these button placements. I would just prefer that Amazon stop playing cat-and-mouse with the images of these remotes on their website and let us know what we'll be getting.

At the end of the day, having the backlit remote is more important than the buttons. I'll hack mine, and just remember that DirecTV is really Disney+ or whatever. This is unfortunate, but soon to be forgotten by me. Still, I felt people should be aware.

This is actually the first time they've been on sale since they were introduced (they are normally $35), but yes, I expect we may see better pricing at some point down the line.

Makes me miss the old barcode scanner they had. Worked great as an unplugged Alexa device. Then they bricked them like the a-holes they are.

With my kids the find my remote feature paid for itself in the first week. I'd pay full price for that without thinking. Backlit keys are a nice touch too.
