Be aware that this switch does not do LLDP. It's not a big deal if you have a small network, but it can be a pain when it's deployed as an edge access switch in larger environments and you're trying to isolate issues.

Also, it implements VLAN configurations really poorly IMO. There are four places to define tagging: 1) basic port based VLAN, 2) advanced port based VLAN, 3) basic 802.1q, and 4) advanced 802.1q; and the worst part is to enable one of the four you HAVE to disable any other existing enabled tagging and it'll completely WIPE any existing VLAN tagging configs you've already set.

I really hate these switches whenever I've encountered them at work. I'd even prefer a UniFi Switch Lite 8 PoE to this.

Edit: Also, unrelated to VLANs, I did a quick search through the documentation for SNMP and did not find any mention of it. That's not something I personally would expect in a $52 switch and I am guessing most people who are looking to buy this wouldn't be deterred by that. That said, I think it's worth noting in case it's something that matters to someone in the market.

If you are trying to separate your cameras from the rest of the network using VLANs, you will have to use a managed switch.

Not bad for managed, all GigE and name brand, that said if you're looking for something to run some POE IP cams it's probably overkill. 10/100 with a gigE uplink with vlan feature is really all you need, though most of the options are no-names, there are plenty with a lot of purchasers/reviews on amazon to browse.

see those 5MP or even 8MP one, the bandwidth usage is insane for live view.

For crying out loud, this is a 50 bucks switch with just 4 POE ports. Who cares about LLDP? This is designed for a simple light setup at home or an office.

I have the non-POE version and this thing is a pain in the ASS. Default out of the box configuration is frustrating. If it resets somehow, you have to reset everything and it drops all connections back down to 100. Buyer beware.
