I was able to after calling and waiting an hour on hold to talk to a service rep. I placed an order on Friday and told them I wanted to cancel my order. The rep said the order is already tracking and she asked why I wanted to cancel it. I told her it's currently listed $200 cheaper. She said I'm glad you told me, I can refund you $200 and once it's been fully billed (I'm guessing that means delivered to my home), the $200 difference will be refunded back to my original payment method.

I very much dislike the fancy screen on my Nordic-track. It is unusable if you don't pay for the service.

If I could go back and do it again I would buy this one.

its the exact reason bought this. Fancy screens and technology will get outdated and cause more issues as they push firmware on wifi. this one is old tech , they cannot do planned obsolescence.

Interesting. But they say they increased the thickness of the deck from 18" to 25"?

That doesn't make any sense to me. The deck is the thing you run on right? There is no way it is that thick, and it seems too narrow to be talking about width.

I don't really know treadmill lingo, is there something I am not understanding here or are those numbers completely nonsensical? Makes me question the veracity of the entire comment.

may be they missed out the decimals. Probably 1.8 inch to 2.5 inch thick sounds practical. I dont see a 2ft thick deck on my nautilus

I'm now buying a new treadmill because the "fancy screen" on my 5yo nordictrack keeps crashing. There's no physical speed/incline controls, just touch based ones tied to the interface. Now the entire treadmill is essentially a nice laundry hanger because Nordictrack either intentionally pushed out a faulty update, or didn't care to bother pushing out a follow-up fix. Only reason I jumped on this one was because it didn't have any "fancy" android based junk that'll eventually stop updating and crash. The physical buttons also gives me hope that the only potential failure is the motor, which has the longer warranty.

exactly why I bought this. Some machines shoud better not have smart features and wifi... toasters, treadmills, refrigerators, coffee machines, washing machines.. better dumb than smart.

Yea you are probably right. I thought that seemed too thin but I was thinking about it from a side view. Looking at the pictures again, the space between the belt is actually significantly thinner than the plastic on the edges so that makes sense.

You are correct, I looked up replacement parts myself for the deck, which is essentially a wooden board underneath the belt that you run on and in all descriptions I can find for the part online it mentions the measurements ending in x25thk.

Most of the reviews I see complaining about a cracked deck are at least a year old. And nearly all the reviews mentioned that it was covered under the 5 year warranty.
