FYI if you are going to buy anything SnowJoe, buy the extended warranty plan when you register. I've owned 4 of their snowblowers and every single one has failed shortly after the original warranty. SnowJoe was not able to assist unless I had the warranty. I would not recommend them, but if you really want them, factor in the extra warranty to the cost

Wondering how this compares to the SJ627E that's on sale for $150.

https://slickdeals.net/f/16414603-22-15-amp-snow-joe-sj627e-electric-walk-behind-snow-blower-w-dual-led-lights-153-09-free-shipping

Main difference is obviously corded vs battery powered.

SJ627E intake is 22"x13" vs 18"x10" on this one.

SJ627E throws snow 25ft vs 20ft on this one.

Anything else?

DO NOT buy this junk, it's extremely weak. even on light snow, the machine struggled.

Batteries on any snow blower is a joke. Lawnmower is fine.

I bought this one when it was on sale. It is a "toy". Just does not do its job. I am returning it and buying greenworks one.

I have the corded one for the past 5 seasons. I would prefer a dual stage gas/electric for the northeast heavy wet snow. Since that we get snow once in a blue moon my setup works 'ok'. Machine is a super reliable other than lacking power and weight. I would assume this one would require a good workout pushing around too. Battery version seems to be poor.

A lot of the smaller Greenworks ones will be the same. Pretty much "toy" like. At least this one doesn't look like it has an all-plastic impeller.

I agree here. I got greenworks 20 inch. It's ok for 6 inches of not very wet snow but not more than that.

I disagree it works fine in slushy heavy snow that was more than 6 inches...only issue is if you have a large are to do you may have to recharge the batteries to finish. My video from last week

I had a similar model to this in ND, and it was impressive. Of course you can only expect so much out of a single stage, battery powered plasticy thing. With patience it was helpful on just about anything I threw at it, though ramming it at the snow ridge the plow leaves on the end of the driveway was the exception. Absolutely need a dual stage to properly chop and throw that compacted ice and snow.
This can be a great tool in the right circumstance, but if it's your only snow blower you will struggle and be frustrated sometimes. Though no cord and no carburetor maintenance is great! Not as loud as a gas powered, but still plenty annoying.

These are worthless where you really need them, and that's the apron by the road where the plows put the heavy wet snow.
If your just doing the walkway its fine most of the time.

A few years ago, I bought the 2 stage SnowJoe Snowblower and it is a beast! It is of course discontinued now. It plowed through heavy thick stuff just as well as a gas powered one. And it did it without all the exhaust and just a little less noise. Of course it requires 2 heavy batteries but works great. I'd probably recommend checking out a 2 stage battery powered snowblower. It might be pricier but there is practically no maintenance compared to a gas powered one. No gas to fill to make it work, no gas to empty at end of winter to keep from turning to varnish, no fuel filter to replace when clogged, no tune ups, no oil changes, no sparkplugs to replace, no rubber belts inside the machine to replace or figure out to open the innards to slip it/them back on or put a new one on... It just works.

I even do my neighbor's driveways sometimes or at least clear the stuff after the snowplow pushes at the end of the driveway.

Can't speak on the single stage SnowJoe though.
