A number of game titles and associated add-ons will be removed from the Xbox 360 Marketplace in a select set of regions per title. These removals will start on February 7, 2023.
Once purchased, you can always redownload these games or any other previously purchased games from your Xbox 360 Download History.
Daytona USA - Classic arcade racing game. This is a bit expanded from the arcade version as it includes some new modes. Challenge, time trial, and everyone's favorite... Karaoke.
Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 - super fun co-op zombie killing game by Valve. Back 4 Blood was inspired by these games... and these games do it a lot better.
Jet Set Radio - AMAZINGLY fun game. Hi-Fi Rush and Sunset Overdrive are current comparables. If you like over-the-top stories, skateboarding/rollerblading, and awesome music - you'll love it.
Lost Odyssey - Very fun Final Fantasy-like JRPG. Don't bother with it if you don't like JRPGs. If you do, definitely buy.
The Orange Box - Awesome collection of Valve games including Everyone should own this.
Games included:
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2:Episode 1
Half-Life 2: Episode Two
Team Fortress 2
Portal
I'm sure people will have other opinions, but this is a great start.
(I would have included Castle Crashers because it's an amazing beat-em-up, but you can get the remaster on current gen.)
List of games that will be removed from the xbox 360 marketplace and aren`t available to digitally purchase as backwards compatible games, as native versions or as remasters on xbox one and xbox series x/s:
Blood of the Werewolf
Counter-Strike: GO
DAYTONA USA
Defense Grid
Final Fight: DblImpact (Available in Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle)
Iron Brigade
Jeremy McGrath's Offroad
Jet Set Radio
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Mutant Blobs Attack
Prince of Persia (2008)
R.U.S.E.
Sega Vintage Collection: Alex Kidd & Co.
Skate 2
Spelunky
The Orange Box
Accurate, but also be aware that some of these games (like Daytona USA) are ONLY available from the 360 marketplace. So once it is delisted, it is gone.

Having trouble claiming Aegis Wing - keeps giving an error. Went to Jet Set Radio and says not available separately. Shame they are delisting Lost Odyssey- one of my favorite JRPG's of all time. I still own the 4 disc physical version but it's one of those games that will just really resonate with some players and it's too bad that they won't be able to get it digitally. Thanks for the heads up though, OP.
Edit - have to go the 360 specific marketplace
At the present time none of these games are working and are listed as not available for me. I did find a ton of other free games however by searching for these titles. It appears microsoft decided to take all of these games down early.
Hmmm... So they state that you will always be able to download them. They forget to mention: As long as some server hosts them.
Also this means that this is all a licensing thing. As the titles will still be available, as long as you buy them now. Corporate BS...
I have a 360 E. I bought it used when we had our first kid. Kinetic and Guitar hero games are just one of those magical experiences that I don't think you can have again. Now he's 6 years old and we play and have a great time. Obviously all the games I have are physical. I still worry that MS may brick it remotely one day. I should probably take it off-line come to think of it.

Same. Come up full price for most when going through the 360 Marketplace online. I wonder if you need to actually try and purchase through the console.

I tried on the console itself, games show as unavailable. I then tried web browser on console with no success. Then I tried on the computer and it makes you add a credit card to use for the free games. However, the actual games are still showing as costing money, although there are demos and trailers for some of the games. I wonder if they changed things around since yesterday?? Now that I think of it, maybe OP was just trying to say that only one of the games is actually free, but these PAID games are being removed on 2/7.
Definitely grabbing Daytona USA. Surprised I hadn't gotten it already. Also gonna give Breakdown a shot. I've heard terrible things about it, but once it's gone, it's gone.
EDIT: The Daytona USA link in OP's post worked for me. Took me to the Xbox 360 page where I could successfully purchase it. Breakdown can be found through the Series X/S store and let me buy it. Hopefully it works for others.
Doesn't look like jet set radio and Daytona are playable or downloadable on series x or s. Shame as I'd buy both. Got rid of my 360 a while ago. Still made sure to redownload blue dragon and lost odyssey.
Jet Set Radio (X360, but a Dreamcast port) is backwards compatible.
Jet Set Radio Future (the sequel, from original Xbox) is, sadly, not.

breakdown shows as $9.99 for me in xbox series S console. Microsoft must be making these freebies exclusive to certain people.

Looks like people are misunderstanding. The only free game is Aegis Wing. The rest are "as priced". This is just your last chance to get any of them if you wanna play them on Xbox or add them to your library. Daytona and jet set are worth $10 a piece imo
There are few games that I used to play back in the day that are A. as fun as I remember B. look good on modern TV's. I don't think there are any games on here that I can't live without. 20$ for nostalgia seems high to me. Quick Update, xbox.com has AC: Valhalla on sale for 20$, and I think that would be a much better option.
You can still buy them and download them after they get delisted, you just can't buy them with your Xbox 360. You can still buy them with an Xbox One, Series, PC, Android, etc. Microsoft just doesn't want people buying shit with a Xbox 360, because security cost in payment transactions.
So your saying it is only a matter of time before all games on the Xbox 360 marketplace get delisted?

Microsoft, like Sony and Nintendo, don't want people buying stuff with old consoles, because payment processing and security. So yea, they will most likely disable people from buying stuff with older consoles. To answer your question, yes.
