The big difference is the glass. The aluminum has "Ion-X strengthened glass" while the stainless has sapphire crystal, which is stronger. I've had a stainless 4 for over
three years and have whacked its face many times and it doesn't have a scratch. My wife dropped her aluminum 5 onto our hardwood floor recently and the glass is shattered. She usually has a case on hers, which kept it safe for years, but she took the case off because some water got between the case and screen.

If you get one of the more recent models, it has fast charging which means you can toss it on the charger while you have breakfast and it's good to go.

I would also like to see extra battery life, but it does so much well that it's hard to criticize the battery too much. The Ultra exists which solves that, though spending nearly a grand for a product meant to be upgraded every few years is a hard sell.

I've had both, and I prefer the stainless steel louth both hold up reasonably well as far as the watch aspect. The issue I had with the aluminum was the crystal. The crystal on the aluminum is not as tough as the stainless steel and I got scratches on the crystal. The stainless steel is still looks pristine after being handed down to two different people.

However, if you are looking to upgrade frequently, get the aluminum. The little scratch is likely not worth the difference to most people.

It comes with a band, and quite bluntly Apple makes the best sport bands. I'm not thrilled with the cloth bands, but I wear my watch in the shower, so go figure. I keep the Milanese Loops ones (I have both silver and black) for dress up, and I have numerous off-market bands. Truthfully, out of all the bands, the regular sport band is still my favorite.

I had such a weird experience price matching with Target. I wish I saved the transcript but the first agent told me it was out of stock. I told her no, the red variation is out of stock, I got the black. She insisted that black was out of stock. I exited and opened another chat.

Second guy told me they don't "price match sale prices" and I'm like......isn't that literally the definition of price match?! He said his system wouldn't let him process it because it was a sale price and not the original listed price. Exited again and started with someone new who processed the price match with no problem lol

I just want one thing...longer lasting battery 3-4 days plz. They keep adding useless features . I see no reason to upgrade from my apple watch 6.

Didn't work for me. Guess i will try with another rep tomorrow morning. Reason i got is target doesn't price match when product is on sale at competitors website. BS.

You have 90 days to return the product. Just order a new one, take the old one back and return it. It's silly of Costco to have a price match policy that doesn't match it's return policy. Why allow 90 days return but only price match on 30 days?
