How great of a deal is this? I may by 2 or 3 of the packs. I currently have octane batteries but may upgrade to these. Do the max batteries only make a difference in brushless tools or do they need to be a certain gen?

It's a killer deal. They do provide a performance boost similar to octane batteries. Octane are still better for octane tools though. The lowest I've seen max output batteries for is 2x 4 amp for $80 from home depot with hack. This gives you a 2 amp on top of that. If I didn't already have way too many batteries I'd jump on it.

it's a pretty good deal. There is also the 2x 6AH max output batteries on sale with the mid torque impact for 250. You can return the impact and net the 6AHs for ~94 + tax.

It is a great deal if they had IT in stock. I bought and paid the wrench, charger and batteries too but they cancelled these one without informed me. I asked them to cancel the whole order, he said I try my best???

Do they have LSA? On DT it only stated 3-year warranty.

Looks like the router and sander combo for $55 is a good deal as well. R840443SBN

You think these will be worth a buy for the trimmer coming out? All I have are regular batteries right now.

Probably will need at least the 6 ah for a little run time. 8 or 12ah MO batteries will be best

Really? It's home use not commercial, think my typical use time is about 30 minutes.

Probably would make out alright but have to use both 4ah batteries depending on grass length/thickness. Hard to say without knowing how the trimmer will go through the batteries.

High draw items can chew through a 4ah in 10 minutes. The angle grinder and 3gal vac come to mind. The outdoor tools from the other companies support multiple batteries to combat this so you can use 2x 4ah instead of buying 8ahs.
