Honestly asking. In what use case would this be helpful? Just the ability to charge more things from one plug?
I own the Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra. Being able to charge my phone from 30% all the way to 80% in a manner of minutes is extremely helpful, especially if I forget to charge and I'm on the go, so I just charge it from my truck during that short drive to whoever I'm going.

Also is handy because it charges my phone, work laptop (Dell XPS), personal laptop (surface), and even keeps my gaming laptop alive (legion 5 pro, doesn't game on power but let's me do light web work). To have a device that will power all of my devices and be compact is extremely useful.

Also to maximize the 100w charging, you have to use a 100w cable. If you use anything less, expect the obvious of a lower charging rate.

This 140W was $45 during the last deal but is still $55 after it expired for anyone who doesn't need a USB-A port and it comes with a 240W certified USB-C cord.

Traveling, It's more convenient that carrying 3 different chargers for my iPhone, Macbook and my Switch with the dock. I don't have to unplug all my charging adapters to visit family or friends, or on vacation. This doesn't include when I decide to bring other charging devices like my go pro and drone.

I have the 735 (65W) and it also powers the switch docked. It is also a slimmer brick so it only takes up one outlet. There's currently a $15 off coupon on anker's website too, if you don't need the full 100W and want a slimmer brick.

I use it as a travel charger (laptop, switch, phone, and Garmin watch in USB A) and for my secondary switch dock at home.
I guess I was asking more about possible bricking. I know early on there was faulty docks either caused be the charging brick or the chip in the 3rd party dock.

Ravpower and Aukey sell similar products in terms of quality and price. Too bad Amazon and Anker decided they needed to get the boot lol

This design is poor. It sags in the outlet and hotel outlets are often worn to the point that the brick slowly falls out.

Switch? It doesn't need 100w. OEM charger is nowhere near 60w. It has a mobile chip from years ago, and should be fine with even 30w.
docked switch is 15V 2.6A or 40 watts.

Nobody is selling 100 watt 3-port GaN chargers for $25 as far as I can tell. This product is designed for people who need a high-powered multi-device charger that is very portable. If you don't need a high-powered multi-device charger that is very portable then this is not a product for you.

I am looking to (at most) charge a 2022 Macbook Pro, another laptop, and an iPhone 12 at the same time. Is this listed charger just fine, or will I lose some functionality/not charge well enough?

If the latter, would it be a better idea to get their 120w version: https://www.anker.com/products/a2...lectionBuy

Huh, ugreen has no warranty, it appears. I tried and failed to find any warranty information at all. That's the difference between ugreen and Anker. Anker has great customer service with real warranties. (That's said, I'm holding out for this Anker charger, but with 3 USB-C ports.)

Why a charger is so expensive
Because people are willing to pay for them. Though, looks like that might not be true anymore because we keep seeing these sales. Good. Keep those prices dropping.
