Sorry but that is not entirely true. After activating new phone sim with Google Fi, as long as you don't insert the Google Fi sim in a "different phone", you are fine. Most, like myself, simply tossed the Google Fi sim in a drawer and no problems getting the $500. Using a different carriers sim in the S22 the entire time.

FakeBro, stop spreading Fake information. This is 100% not true. In the last 3-4 months, I purchased 3 Fold4 and all were just activated on the device and now the sim is seating in the drawer, and never got a chargeback. And one device has already crossed the qualification period and the other 2 will complete their qualification window in 12-15 days.

Just an FYI on obtaining a valid cell number to port. I posted this earlier on in the thread but seems to have been overlooked by many as this is a long thread.

I ordered the five dollar per month plan on hello mobile website. It includes talk text and 500 MB data. Free sim and taxes included. The account number for porting is given to you in an email and you can see it as well by logging into your account online, no need to use their app. The porting pin is the last four digits of your phone number, I confirmed that with customer service. Hope this helps some here who need a valid phone number to port and do not want to take any risk with GV numbers as things may have changed this year.

And bonus, the five dollar hello mobile plan second month is free. No coupon code or referral required. This comes in handy just in case the delivery date keeps getting pushed back by Google Fi.

Can anyone confirm if I have 25 days left on the Pixel7 promo. Can I order this and wait for 25 days to run down before activating this phone? Looking for someone with current or past experience. Thanks.

I have been waiting for result on the Battery life of the S23 Ultra. The S22 Ultra was amazing, except the battery life sucked (the pixel 7's are horrible)

This review just came out:
https://www.samnews24.com/2023/02...rain-test/

The results for how long the phones lasted are this:
8:50 pixel 7pro
9:44 s22 Ultra
11:14 s23 Ultra
11:25 iPhone14 pro max

These are amazing results! If any one else finds and good battery test data, please post them!

No personal experience from me, but member AkumarX posted in the S22 thread that he ordered a 30-day S22 (for existing member) when his Pixel 7 had 7 days left to go. It didn't mess up his P7's promos.

Just don't activate your S23 before your P7 completed its terms.

And another test for the S23 Ultra:

https://www.laptopmag.com/news/sa...14-pro-max

iPhone 14 Pro Max13:07
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra12:22
Pixel 7 Pro 8:05

This is a worthy alternative to the apple ecosystem

And another review (in german, gotta use translate tool)
https://tweakers.net/reviews/1084...laden.html

(some of the time frames get messed up and auto cconverted to a PM time, but if you add a 1 it works out. So 5:42 pm is actually supposed to be 15:42

If my Metro plan is inactive right now, how long do I have to port into Google Fi before I lose the #? Thanks!

Any issue porting in and out back to TMo? Can I port it out the same day I port in? Any restrictions? Thanks
No. It's rare to have problems porting with Tello, they're an MVNO on top of their game (I've had them since 2020 and they've been great).

I'm not sure who is paying that much, I pay 48 cents tax a month on a 2gb Tello plan. Imagine that Kalifornia no less. How much more could it be for a $20 Fi plan?? Will find out soon enough, knock on wood. Yes that is just my case, but a lot of folks live in Kalifornia.
I pay $2.05 here in CO on my $6 Tello plan because Colorado has implemented prepaid-specific flat taxes of $1.71 for E911 and $.27 for 988 (https://webcache.googleuserconten...ess-charge - the website is down right now but you can see it's got the 2023 info there)... so yeah, CA is not the worst.

It was ordered like two days later last year iirc
Maybe I'll just wait it out. I have zero tolerance for waiting longer than I am quoted.

I need some guidance.
I am new customer and don't want to port number in.
After a bit of reading, sounds like I should get a byop with esim, then activate the esim. Then I need to buy the phone as an existing customer. What next?
Do I pause my service until the phone arrives then reactivate the esim with the new phone?
Also, what is the Referral Code that everyone is talking about.

I don't want to port my number to Fi. Can i buy a prepaid sim, remove the sim card from my current phone and insert the prepaid one in, activate it, and port it to Fi for the promo? Never done this before.

Thanks. Porting in to Tello probably doesn't have any problem. Just want to make sure porting out in a short period of time doesn't cause any issues. Is there a $1 Tello SIM kit with $30 credit for the plan? Thanks. Repped.

Why do all that when you can port in for free with Google Voice?

It could be because they had so many people trade in S22U and they have more inventory than they want.
