Has anyone ported to G Fi from TMo and then back to TMo within a day or two? Any issues with quick port in and port out? Thanks

It could be because they had so many people trade in S22U and they have more inventory than they want.
Could explain why S21 phones have much higher trade-in values. During BF there were a lot of S22 refurb deals. Some comments in this thread mention that Samsung has a lot of new S22 stock to sell as well. Maybe we see some big discounts there after the S23 drop.

No one here has an answer to why the S21 brings in more "trade in" money than the S22. Many people are asking, but none of us work at google and came up with the pricing structure. This will not be answered on slickdeals...

*** Port-in of number is NOT required. This is available for both new and existing Google Fi subscribers and works for existing Google Fi numbers/lines. I have confirmed this with Fi, and it clearly states this when checking out. The mod who made this an FP put the wrong info in the OP ***
I know I posted earlier about it but I couldn't find it. The Fi website removes the discount for me when I uncheck the portion to port in my precious line. ,

Can we exchange carrier locked phones, like TracFone or MetroPCS iPhone 11 to Google Fi.. or must it be an unlocked phone?

If you're not a current customer you have to port in a number.

I guess that may be the issue. I was previously but then frozen and later cancelled my plan w/ Fi so I guess this deal isn't for me.

thanks @kyden99

I wanted to get this deal but I did not want to port in a number so here's what I did.
I downloaded the Fi app, signed up for the $20 a month plan, and activated the plan with a new number on my current phone using E-SIM. My current phone allows you to use a second E-SIM along with your regular SIM card, and activating via E-SIM means you do not have to wait for a SIM card to come in the mail. I then pre-ordered the new phone with the discount. In the Fi app, under Fi Savings on the "In Progress" tab, it confirms that I am receiving the discount as a current Fi member, no porting required.
I thought you are supposed to wait for atleast 48 hours as recommended in this thread before purchasing the new phone.

Thank You.

One important note people.

For 120 days every night at 12 Fi will ping the SIM, if it is not inserted into the phone you bought you get 500$ charged back. You have to use the Fi SIM in the S23 you buy for entire duration of promo. Learned it the hard way.
Don't think the phone has to be on, or I'm screwed over the last deal.

It's a Google thing looks like; not universal. Best Buy has higher trade in value for S22U than S21U (both are so low though).

I just bought the Pixel 7 Pro in December as new customer and ported in a line, can I buy this phone for the same line? Or does it have to be a new line? I still haven't reached my 60 days yet that's Feb 28th...

Can I give numberbarn number now and later change it to tell number? If yes, do I need to do it before the phone ships out? Thanks
