How to get this offer:

Purchase a new iPhone 11 64GB device for $49.99 at a Metro by T-Mobile Store (in store exclusive) with valid identification.

Bring current phone number to apply towards new device.

Receive a virtual $50 Prepaid Mastercard for the cost of the device after 3 recurring monthly payments on a $60 rate plan.
That's what I'm confused about.

Is the 3 monthly payments required for the iPhone deal or the prepaid Mastercard?

Is it possible to just get 1 month of metopcs service in order to get the iPhone for 50 bucks?

Another person posted no contract, so I'm wondering if 1 month is sufficient to get the discounted iPhone 11 in order to use it for trade in to Google fi for the s23u.

Thank you.

if they are sending you a $50 giftcard after the 3 months service, my guess is you will be paying $100 upfront for the phone plus the $60 service plan, plus tax and activation, about only paying the 1st month and cancelling I don't know, but keep us updated if you actually get the deal

Activate the phone on a full service plan (data-only SIMs do not qualify)

Does that mean I cannot chose Flexible Plan $20 +$10/GB ?

Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

Off topic but has anyone used Google Fi in Japan? Have a trip coming up next month for 10 days and since I am already doing this deal, looks like it's $10 per 10 GB. Is it worth sticking with fi in Japan or getting a local SIM?
For Fi it's $10 per 1GB. You're better off adding a prepaid data plan to your eSIM instead of relying on Fi for data. For Japan I'd recommend Ubigi. 10GB data for $17.

Thanks. Is fi more spotty?

Oh wow.

Edit: Nvm. Thanks for clarification. That's crazy expensive.

Flexible Plan is actually a full service plan, you get calls, txt and internet, only difference is you have the option of paying by the GB or not using it at all.

Does changing plan from flexible to unlimited during the 120 days impact the promo?

Metro website says $49.99 and must use $60 plan for 3 months?
Not needed. Just one is fine if you are buying for trade-in.

If you want an additional $50 gift card then you need to use it for 3 Months on a $60 Plan, which is not worth it.

So in total, there are two promotions,

First Promo:
  1. Buy iPhone 11 64GB for $49
  2. Port the Number
  3. Activate the first month on a $60/Month Plan
  4. Pay Taxes on $49.
Second Promo:
  1. Buy iPhone 11 64GB for $49
  2. Port the Number
  3. Activate the first month on a $60/Month Plan
  4. Pay Taxes on $49.
  5. Continue 2nd and 3rd month on a $60/Month Plan

My guess is no, it doesn't, as long as you as you change to a full service plan, but, that's only my guess, so it's best to contact customer service and ask them.
