Well my delivery today was moved out to tomorrow. Tracking shows it was picked up at Ingram Micro in Rancho Cucamonga at 12:30 AM this morning and didn't make it to the Bloomington CA. FedEx Hub until 7:40 AM. That is only 14 miles away. That is a whole lot of stops, and / or pillaging of Samsung phones to take 7 hours. Color me jaded.
Same. But from Carol Stream, IL to Chicago, it took more than 32 hours (to cover +/- 20 miles). It's struck in a distribution center 1hr from my house for 12 hrs now. Oh well. FEDEX.

Just to close the loop on this, my timer started working, although the phone calls with Google fi are still not working. I wasn't planning to use Fi anyways, so it doesn't impact me.
What about the entry that says "didn't transfer to Fi" ? Did it change, disappear, or remain there? Do you now have an entry that says "Ported a number to Fi" and checkmarked?

Might be a stupid question, but I bought a Boost Mobile phone number and got it with a pin. How do I use it to activate my phone, now?

Nvm. Figured it out. They give you the account # and pin to input while you activate your phone on GoogleFi.

FYI for those using hello mobile. You can call them ahead of time or chat with them and have them disable that port out lock so it's ready to go when you do it. Saves time.

TMobile has an auto generate port transfer pin for a given line. For the last line on the account, it is not generating the pin. Is that a bug or a feature? Do I need to call in? This is for a friend who just got S23 Ultra and need to transfer his TMo number. Thanks

For other Tello users...

Set the account security pin under My Information if you haven't done so already. It will ask for this security pin during the account number retrieval.

I selected other option as a reason for getting the acct num. Just want the account number handy if I decide to leave. And that's that. Pop comes the Acct Number.

Use 000000 as the Port Out PIN for Tello along with the account number.
I tried to port a newly purchased $6 Tello esim. But I am getting the following error "Couldn't transfer your number - The info you entered didn't match what's on file with your previous provider."

I gave the correct phone number and account number and tried both 0000 and 000000. But I still get the same error.

Tried almost 10 times now. Will try tomorrow again. Any suggestions pls.

Thanks.

The Fi app will point out what info is wrong? Maybe name, address, etc....just use 000000.

Blah! I have no interest in more than 4 months of Fi credits.

Wow! Everything except moto phones are now on 24 months bill credit instead of upfront discount.

Yea, most of the Carriers/Stores are finding the loopholes and fixing it (seems they have their agents on this platform)
  • For iPhones/Samsung: Costco T-Mobile use to have a very good BOGO offer (with instant refund instead of Bill Credit). No this is dead.
  • For Samsung: Samsung used to have a loophole where you can stack cb from R10, P@W, Paypal, and also Cancel Trick to get an additional 10% off plus price match, but now all these are fixed.
  • For Samsung/Pixel: Google Fi had the instant discount, but now this is also fixed.
