Quick question for anybody who ordered as a current customer and had their service paused.

I got my phone yesterday and the line it's for is paused. After unpausing, do you have to wait like 24 hours or anything or can you activate the new phone a few hours after unpausing?

Thanks.

In case if you have received the phone, do they asked you to ship the original phone before shipping the replacement?
No, need to wait until the replacement gets shipped. However, RMA label was issued
"You'll need to return your old Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (512GB, Green) within 21 days of the shipment of the replacement to avoid being charged for the full price of the replacement item (plus tax and shipping, if applicable)."

Received Empty box:

Ordered S23ultra. Today received package delivered by Fedex, but there was no phone inside the package. I reciced only Empty Box. Contacted Helpdesk of Google fi. They said they will send one more phone.

Surprisingly, the weight mentioned on package was 1 lb. It should be atleast 2lb. I dont know whether, it is fault from Google fi side or FedEx.

Pls make sure to check weight of shipment in tracking details and also make sure to record full video while opening package.

Anybody has similar experiences?
Did you get another phone? If so how long did it take for you to get it?

That's what your state charges. Rates must have increased. For example, last year, your Public Utility Commission of Texas raised the Texas Universal Service Fund surcharge fron 3.3% to 24%.

Keep getting "Insert SIM Card" error when trying to activate the phone. In communication with Google CS, but no resolution yet since Friday. SIM card is inside the phone, funny enough. Is there another way to activate the phone?
Anyone else having this problem?

It's either a bad SIM or a bad SIM reader. If it's a bad SIM, you can buy another Fi SIM from Best Buy, Amazon, etc or ask Fi to send you another SIM.If it's a bad SIM reader, you're better off getting the phone replaced.

If you have a physical SIM from another provider, you can put it in the phone and see if it is read (don't activate that SIM). If it can be read, then the physical Fi SIM is bad.

Anyway, you can activate the phone with its eSIM, but that doesn't resolve the issue with the physical SIM or the SIM reader.

Thank you for the helpful suggestion Hpham. I tried my T-Mobile SIM and it works to make a call. So bright side is that it's not a hardware problem. Also my number transfer from Google Voice was canceled for some reason. Chat agent was not very helpful since I have an open support case open. This promo hasn't been as smooth as my previous ones lol.

Knowing the SIM reader is OK, you might try "buffing" the Fi SIM card as the last resort. Rub the chip against a slight rough towel. Sometime a card reader at a grocery store gave the message "Chip Error" when I tried to use my credit card with a chip, usually rubbing it against my jeans would fix it.
