If you click the Deal Score it does tell you why. People don't like this vendor and price. I'm not saying I agree or disagree, but those are their reasons for their thumbsdown.
I just watched some YT comparisons of this newer Flex design relative to the traditional Buddy heaters (which sell for $75 commonly).
One issue that kept coming up is that the new Flex cannot run as low as the old one, meaning it runs for fewer hours on one bottle, and may be too hot for smaller spaces. It does however have a higher maximum output which is nice if you have a larger space.
The Flex does have an upgraded ignition system, yes, it uses a battery, but it is more reliable. I'm sure people could argue that either way, but in both cases you'll want matches/lighter as a backup (since crud can get into the old Buddy's ignition system).
Larger footprint on the Flex Vs. smaller on the traditional Buddy Heater, which is also arguable either way since the Flex is harder to bump over but takes up more storage/transport space (even with the auto-off safety feature, it is still nicer around kids).
The biggest thing is: Omnidirectional heat Vs. directional heat. Which you can argue either way depending on use-case. I don't expect the classic Buddy Heater to be discontinued, this is just another option that maybe better for e.g. families in medium-large tents.
TL;DR: It costs more but justifies its new cost with some quality of life improvements for medium-large spaces and or multiple occupants. For solo, couple, or small tent camping maybe stick to the cheaper Buddy Heater.

I mean, is this a wonky product? Crappy price? Was Mr. Heater recently Me-Too'd?
I stopped using my old school buddy heater because it really does a number on my asthma, couldn't breathe, some people are sensitive to the exhaust and it just gets concentrated in the room.
They also dump a lot of moisture in the room and on really cold days that creates water condensing on my uninsulated walls and windows.
I switched to a 12v diesel automotive parking heater that exhausts directly outside rather than to the inside like the buddy heater, way better, not everyone can mount such a thing though depending on your use.
These are in the $100 range also, but they require 12v power to run where the buddy doesn't.
