Warning, the battery tester I received was damaged. I submitted a request to the manufacturer with photos and never heard back.
Because having all of your batteries in one predefined space as opposed to half empty packages, cluttering a drawer is more efficient? I mean, if this does not solve a problem for you then don't get it I guess? We have 2 kids with a bunch of toys that blow through batteries. Having them all in one place helps me determine if I need to stock up, recharge, etc.
This should be redesigned to remove most of the C and Ds and incorporate CR123s.

Novel idea but this product is decades too late the way it is now. The future is now Battery Daddy!

Same when me, tester was completely dead. I contacted Amazon and they just gave me back the full 10 bucks with no need to return the unit.

Try unscrewing the back, these types of testers usually are powered by button batteries.

I would only get this from Costco because Amazon commingles stock, even if you purchase from the official store front and there's a chance you'll get a knock off.

I think I'm looking at a case made of plastic that will live inside a cabinet. Is there something about a knock-off that would be problematic? I feel like that's not something that would really bother me.

So a battery tester out of millions probably made means you need to warn everyone?

The tester uses the battery's power to tell you the status. It just a needle and gauge.

So a warranty claim was ignored and they want to warn everyone? That's nice of them.

They sent pictures and never heard back. Seems like maybe they should be a bit more diligent then sending in a pic and forgetting about it.

But regardless like I said, a few out of millions, not worth a warning.

Not really. It's nothing special, just convenient and often on sale. I like it a lot but it's still just plastic.

You're entitled to your opinion. So are they.

Ok, then maybe you shouldn't have replied to my comment in the first place then?

Wondering if that would be irony or hypocrisy.

Thanks for this correction. I took mine apart and you are right. I was going off my experience with an old "Battery Traveler" holder like this one on eBay that required a button battery for the charge indicators to light up: https://www.ebay.com/itm/115576031189

You didn't know it stores button batteries? That's what the cover that pulls off is for along with those small batteries like for doorbell buttons etc.. Even shows it in the pictures.

I would rather cut those bottom batteries individually keeping their case intact and then drop them in their dedicated compartment, instead of removing the case and drop them making sure the +s and -s don't collaborateSmilie

Neither. You cut around the packaging if big leaving a circle where the battery is. Even individually it is better the button batteries not be exposed. That divider is good for that. The amount or space for several small holes for individual buttons would take up way too much space.

The picture shows them all jumbled, not a good way to store button batteries unseparated. But under the lift-out battery tester are 10 small compartments. Just use those and store the rest in your fridge.
Agree they should not be exposed. I just keep them in the packaging, maybe cutting a circle around the battery. That compartment can hold several. Under the tester could work.
