Some interesting facts.
I noticed Pizza Hut and Jet's pizza are coded as Merchant = Restaurants while Domino's is Fast Food.
In that case, if I want a pizza and the $5 rebate, I should order from Jet's or Pizza Hut but not Domino's

These are the others I have from my previous statements that are Merchant = Fast Food
Arby's
Chipotle
McDonald's
Wendy's
Firehouse Subs
Subway
Jimmy John's
Panda Express
Jersey Mike's
Shake Shack
McAlister Deli
Boston Market
Burger King
Panera Bread
Krispy Kreme
Popeyes
This offer was available under my debit card and Amazon prime card

Why does everyone thinks this is good deal? This will not work on fast foods like McDonalds. It clearly states in the fine print
The merchant must be classified as a restaurant for purposes of this offer to qualify.
I looked up my statements, McDonalds, Dunkin, Subway, they have merchant type = Fast Food while the likes of Chili's, Friday's will have merchant type = Restaurants. Going to Friday's to have a $16 burger + tax + tip = >$20 to get the $5 rebate is not a slickdeal

You can get better value and good quality at restaurants for the most part. A "$16 burger" usually comes with a side or two as well. Hell, its pretty easy to spend that much at McDonalds or Taco Bell.

I see a new one out there for "MeUndies", sadly not for $5 off restaurants. But I'll need to do more research on MeUndies.

Obviously I cant guarantee it but for purposes of this offer I believe fast food locations will count towards the offer, I think if they wouldn't quailify you would see it as part of the fine print and all I see is this

Some merchants that sell food do not qualify, such as candy stores, nut stores, confectionery stores, dairy product stores, bakeries, delis, beer/wine/liquor stores, and butchers. Food delivery merchants will qualify if they classify as a restaurant.

This probably makes sense but if your intention is to go to Mcdonalds and spend $10 to the $5, to make it 50% off deal, you are in for a lot of pain as you will have to probably deal with CSR later begging for them to give you the $5 which they can easily refused based on their fine print.
