This would definitely be more of a hack. Lots people have done 40 volt ryobi conversions- lots of power wheels conversions too. Hot swappable batteries seems like a no brainer for eBikes but there's just not much out there yet.

I was considering pairing two of these:

So do the adapters plug in at each end of the stock battery holder? I assumed that if someone provided a link it would be more of the steps involved to do the complete conversion, not just a link to a 3d printed adapter. Of which, you didnt even clarify if this is compatible.

Yes- it would involve fabricating a battery holder as well. There are also more robust adaptors made for use in the power wheels conversions. A number of 40V ryobi e-bikes have also been done. But wiring 2 18v lithium batteries in sequence is something I've never done- which is why I was originally asking the (feasibility/ has anyone done this) question - not offering it as a ready to go solution.

I'm presuming based on the pics that the black one comes with fenders and this one doesn't. If anyone knows more, let us know.

Click through Swagbucks. Just got notified of my 1% cash back.

Hoping that, as a bonus, that the batteries between this and my Hypers E-Rides will work.

Ya know, I knew SDers could be dicks, but a bunch of you really take the cake. Stop using the perceived feminization of things or calling a guy a woman as an insult. It's effing not. There is nothing wrong with being with a woman. There is nothing wrong with a guy riding a Tiffany blue bicycle with a slanted bar. There is nothing wrong with a guy wearing a pink polo or a pink blouse. Clothes and bicycles and colors don't have gender. Just stop being assholes. Women are not here to be used as your insults. Grow up.

I rode this very bike to the gym for my workout. It is a unisex gym.I sure got a lot of stares and giggles from the guys! I am a big burly guy with a manly beard. I am now in therapy. Thanks a lot!

I have this exact bike from an earlier deal. The motor is perfectly adequate for my use case which is ~2 mile each way commute thru an urban park. Using the throttle alone, you may not be able to get up to 20 mph going up hills but even just a tiny bit of pedaling effort and you can easily use this for hills. 20 mph feels a lot faster on a bike with the wind in your face, compared to driving in a car. Casual bikers probably don't need to get to 20 mph and I keep to around 15ish mph.

The battery is a little on the small side. I get probably around 10 miles on one charge using minimal pedaling effort. Your pedaling effort will greatly influence how much battery mileage you get.

Overall very happy with my purchase so far. It's great and fun for my commute. It's also nice to use for biking trips on the weekends.

It was a little annoying to adjust the caliper brakes so they wouldn't rub when not engaged without having the hand levers bottom out because the brake pads were so far from the rims.

I asked the company for a spare battery for additional mileage and flexibility but they are difficult to get a hold of. Definitely do not expect any reliable support but if you're buying on Amazon you can probably just return it if you have any issues. Just be vigilant so you can find any issues during the return period.

I mean, I'd love to live in a world where none of that mattered, but here in the real world calling a woman manly is typically just as insulting as calling a man girly. Casual jokes about gender identity don't really hinge on one gender being lesser/greater than the other, though obviously there is a point where it can be taken far enough to be problematic. Not really seeing that here though...just people making fun of a baby blue bike with no top bar. Meh.

You are in the very thread discussing a <$300 ebike, but choosing to talk sh!t about $7,500 ebikes...unprovoked btw...

Issues detected.
Context is import pal and work on reading comprehension. I know they don't teach these things in school much these days...I am not talking about <$300 ebike. I am talking about how an electrified bicycle now costs more than top of the line motorcycle did...Just making a remark about inflation...I ride a motorcycle and also ride bicycles so i don't have issues one way or the other but I was surprised 7500 electrified bicycles exist and people buy them...

My interest in this thread was to see the merit of this e-bike as a gift for a relative so I didn't come in here to trash on it.

in NYC do people just watch when stuff like this happens? Nobody intervenes?
People watch women get raped and not intervene. So, bicycle theft is low on importance...

You don't see a problem because it's not aimed at you. You want to live in a world where "none of that mattered"? Then do your effing part and stop perpetuating gross stereotypes, stop brushing off toxic behavior as if it's no big deal, and do freaking better! Want to live in a better world? Then do better! Lead by example! Don't make excuses shitty behavior.
