revengeance is a separate, and completely different style of game. the "definitive" edition is the most all encompassing version of MGS5, including the main game (phantom pain), the (short) prologue (ground zeroes), and all the DLC.
Just started Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and it is a lot of fun but really wish the game didn't punish you (well, lack of rewarding you) for killing everything in sight. The game wants you to incapacitate and recruit enemies....I'd rather just shoot everyone. I didn't become a mercenary hell bent on revenge just to coddle, kidnap, then brainwash other mercenaries into becoming part of a weird floating Umbrella Corp type thing.
BTW, plays great on the Steam Deck and the battery lasts FOREVER when playing MGS. Really, battery lasts much longer than it should.
It's because of the nanomachines.

MGSV is fantastic, really an exceptional game. However, the story is absolutely bananas with lots of nonsensical proper nouns thrown around. Also, the story ends very abruptly.
The moment to moment gameplay is great--I just wish it was wrapped in a story that was good.
Also, post game/end game stuff after the main story is just recycled previous levels with unfun modifiers added on.

Thanks for posting about how it runs on Steam Deck, just got one myself a few weeks ago and loving it.
Do I need all of these or does one pack have em all for mgs?

Glad you are enjoying it. Honestly from the OG Gameboy to Game Gear to PSP to Switch the Steam Deck is the first handheld console I have ever had that didn't feel like a bundle of compromises and / or a tech demo which was never complete.
BTW, not sure if you have seen it yet but https://gg.deals/ is awesome for finding when games go on sale via the various 'official stores' (Steam, Epic, etc) and other keyshops. Keyshops are not shown by default so you need to click that option on. My personal preference is have Steam only DRM shown and to show both mainstream stores and keyshops. I check the new deals probably a dozen times a day because it updates constantly and sometimes really cheap games are only on sale for a few minutes / hours (not sure why).

The Definitive Experience includes THE PHANTOM PAIN and GROUND ZEROES (not listed here) and some other DLC however I am pretty sure REVENGEANCE is a completely separate game.
Ground Zeroes is only supposed to be an hour or two and most of the other DLC is cosmetic (I believe) so I didn't think 'the Definitive Experience' was worth the extra money. Ground Zeroes sells for about $1.25 alone on the keyshops so worst case if I beat the main game I can always buy that is I am itching for an hour more of game play.
