Newly released, from Samsung store. Same panel as the Alienware AW3423DWF, slightly different feature set

https://www.samsung.com/us/comput...g850snxza/

+ 175 Hz Refresh Rate

+ USB-C Display Input with Charging
+ Samsung Smart TV Hub
+ Built-In Speakers
- HDMI and DP inputs are Mini-HDMI and Mini-DP
- Silver Monitor Frame (Some prefer black frame)
+ / - Fan is outside of the display leading to slimmer design but no fan inside for cooling

Price in cart is also for those with EPP.

Still kind of confused why Samsung didn't include full size HDMI or DisplayPort inputs on it...
I'm not sure I'd choose this over the Alienware. Unless something has changed, Alienware's warranty is pretty great. I'm dealing with Samsung warranty for another product and it's been a nightmare.
The Samsung has Hdmi 2.1. You can get 120hz if you plan on connecting a next generation console.

Probably so that folks can have teeny tiny cords that look nice and hide away better.

Is this one capable of the full 175hz refresh at full resolution? The Alienware isn't. Could not find the specs for this one.

Was waiting for the release of this one. So tempting. Just seems like the DWF is much better value. Hoping to see a side by side review.

Hopefully only a matter of time before typical Samsung "promo pricing", that gets it down to half price.

Otherwise it's a pass, since people have reported getting the AW monitor for ~1/2 price with Capital One cash back back and amex cash back.

I've generally heard both LG OLED monitors and Samsung QD-OLED panels may have flickering or text fringing so some extent.

With the LG OLED monitor I heard the brightness is nowhere close to that of a LG C2 TV but 240 Hz refresh rate is a nice thing for competitive gamers. LG monitors also use matte screen monitors while Samsung/Alienware have a near glossy monitor finish. It really depends on what care about the most, for me it's brightness so I steered clear of LG monitors

Did they use the same panel as the dell one? With the unusual sub pixel layout?

If I calculated correctly is ppi is abut 109. This is a lot of money to pay for only 109 ppi imho
