correct, i also did Argentina singple acct and cancel when they bump the price (from 90 cent to 3.88), Turkey also bump around the same time but not as bad from (1.50 to 3.29) for famiply plan if you decide to change to Turkey, best to do Family plan or yearly subscription
Wait, I think I missed that there's an annual option that saves more money. Youtube charges me this:
Family membership: ARS 699.00/mo
Not sure if that's the annual being charged per month, or if I'm on a monthly membership and I should switch to annual. Maybe they don't offer annual in Argentina but do offer annual in Turkey? IDK.
You don't need Youtube Premium. You need ReVanced w/ Sponsorblock.
Or any browser with uBlock Origin and Sponsorblock.
Or, if you are on iPhone... I guess you just watch commercials like Apple wants you to.
A youtube premium membership (using foreign currency) might be worth it if you use non-Android devices to play youtube or YT music. Like google speakers. I also do a lot of youtube with the display off to save battery. Not sure if there's a workaround for that.
After enrolling premium - do we still have to use VPN to use the youtube premium. I guess my question is lets say I paid for a year of youtube premium subscription service in India, Is Google restricting me to use that account in US?
I enrolled in premium when I went to India for vacation during the Christmas holidays. After coming back here to USA, I never had to use VPN to watch Premium. Hope this helps.

If you already have family plan and charge around 3.69 USD then you are fine.. not worth the hassle to change to Turkey
But there is no way to convert your existing account to it right? I don't want to have to make a whole new account. Oh well
You can make a separate account gmail account and link it to your existing one. Buy the family plan instead of the individual plan and that way it lets you link them.

Some people like to watch on tablets, phones or streaming devices like fire stick and Apple TV. You can't use ad blockers on those platforms.
