Using a card payment processor at 2.9% you'd be able to cycle $4,000 for $116 in fees - add the $69 card fee and you're at $185 for Companion Pass and 34,000 points, which is a solid deal for 11 months of pass.
I got the Priority card a little over a year ago. I was able to add the card to ApplePay before getting the physical card.
Once the card appears in your accounts in the Chase app
go to the card,
click Show More under Account Services
Click Digital Wallets
I was able to add the card to ApplePay. GPay and Paypal are also offered but I did not try to add those.
Hope this helps someone. It's possible they changed this since I did do it over a year ago.
Have done the CP many times. This looks like an easy way to get it. Too bad I have no desire to fly anymore.

More room for the rest of us. There were actually about 30 open seats on a flight from from LAX to Maui recently.
About two months ago they set a record for open seats in airplanes… not so many open seats at the non boarding gates or in rental cars that people had to drive to their original destinations or back home.
"Dec 29, 2022 ... Southwest canceled more than 2,900 flights on Monday; scrapped about 2,500 each day for the next two days, more than 60 percent of its schedule;"
Can you explain the process for CP with points? maybe worth it for the additional 10 months
If you get 135,000 points, you get companion pass for the rest of the year plus the following year. So if you get the performance business card and spend $5k, you get 80k points; then get the plus card (or any other personal card), and hit the spending requirement (I think it was $1k or $3k), and you'd get 50k miles. With the spend and bonuses, it came to 138,000 points and you would have companion pass for the rest of this year and all of next year. PM if you still have questions, I would be happy to help.
My fiance applied for this card last year and we used the heck out of it. Now it's my turn to get the card, but unbeknownst to me, she had added me as a user. So a card was issued in my name. But I never used it nor did I ever receive the bonus or benefit from it. My fiance received those perks as the primary card applicant. Does me being a card holder disqualify me for this promotion and getting companion pass?

What perks are u referring to for being an authorized user?
Some people have or know someone with a small businesses or gigs they obtain a credit card terminal for. You charge your card and the bank funds the business account after deducting about 3%.
Try Plastiq dot com or perhaps retailer with generous return policy.
Hmm I did it the old way opening a normal and business card I just had terrible timing during covid. But I think regardless I ended up with like 160k miles back then. Which was a way better deal. A lot more work though.
I already booked a trip for end of March with my two kids using the Costco's Southwest gift cards to get the 10% off. I suppose I can try to spend $4,000 on everything and may get the companion pass in time before the trip… Not sure if the tickets will be much higher at the last minute before March 28th. Should I try and then rebook with the companion pass? Is that going to save me money? I guess the unused travel credit from Costco's gift cards can be used in the future.
We have been thinking of another trip 2024 but it will be after 2/28 for another spring break vacation (much easier when kids are out of school). I suppose I could try to catch a weekend trip when kids are out on a non-holiday Friday or Monday during winter for skiing before 2/28…
We are not a frequent flyer… We'd be lucky to fly out west once a year. More than that it's pushing for us.
