Hmm 🤔
Just get the recycling bag from Peets and mail them.
Bought caramel cookie last time and hated it. Tastes like medicine.

What grind settings do you use for refills?
I have a DeLongi burr grinder and I pretty much use the finest 3 settings (it has a scale of 1 to 20, 1 being the finest, 10 medium and 20 most coarse). For me I get the most flavor out of the finest grind setting. You should play around with it. Of course this isn't your typical professional espresso machine so you have to play around with the grind setting to get the best flavor for the refill.

One day I will get a real espresso machine, until then this will do. I have a Ninja machine that makes great regular drip coffee

I bought the silicone lids from Amazon. Just repack the vertuo pods with my own espresso grind and pop the lid on. Takes a couple minutes at most to do 4 pods, and it works great. Even makes the same "crema" froth that the real pods do and I might be paying .10/coffee instead of $1+.
Do you have a link for the silicone lids? I've been using the foil lids and they are a pain.

They really need more decaf options in the Vertuo product line. Starbucks makes pods, but zero decaf for Vertuo. Only one decaf option available from Nespresso.

CORRECTION: didn't see that this was for vertuo... link i posted is for the regular pods

Agreed horrible flavors. Incidentally ordered a 30pack from Amazon for $25 last week... better flavors.

MyCap on Amazon has a sample kit for $20 that includes foil lids, silicone cap, and paper filters to use with silicone cap if you like. You can buy the silicone cap by itself too.

Wife works at Starbucks (part time) so we get 1 pound free coffee per week. When she is running low on espresso at home she gets the Starbucks Blond Espresso Roast and grinds it on espresso setting using their machine. We originally bought Nespresso Starbucks Blond Espresso Roast 1.35oz pods, used them up and now we use MyCap to refill them, using the MyCap foil tops.

Her drink of choice is Starbucks brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk (cold drink) with an extra shot of espresso (5 shots total). She makes it at home sometimes using the Nespresso Vertuo Deluxe by Delonghi and she says it is pretty close to what she makes at work.

I didn't want to buy the machine and we got it before she was employed there. 30% off drinks outside of work hours is nice, but making it at home for cheap using a machine we already (had to) have is better.

I prefer (free) Starbucks Veranda Blonde Roast using my Bunn and paper filters. I don't care for the Nespresso.
