I'm not sure how they compare to Capri but I have the Arcan long reach low profile floor jack and it was the best jack I have ever used. I also have the 3/8" impact Arcan sockets, however haven't used them in an impact use yet, but they looked nice and came in a little plastic tray that works great for storing in a tool cabinet drawer

I have some Arcan sockets and they have been fine for home diy auto repair use. If you search their Amazon store, they have other sets similarly discounted, including metric

It's legit though. Momma Becky and the guy who uses regular sockets for impact would beg to differ.

Note that the metric is not the cheapest price.
I got the same set for $13.30 at the end of December, so unless you are in dire need for 1/2" shallow impact metric sockets, you could wait and see if the price drops.

I like the set. The metric sizes are the mostly used sizes, so you won't have a gap.
I needed this because I realized my Pittsburgh deep impact set did not have a 12mm.

As for the SAE... not sure yet if I'm going to pull the trigger. I don't think my cars use SAE, and I only have deep metrics, so to have a complete set, I'd have to look for deep SAE too! Wink

That metric Pittsburgh set is so tempting to so many because of the low price, but the skipped sizes are ridiculous.

German and Japanese (Toyota, Lexus, Honda etc)

For that... they have this metric set for $11.27 + tax from the same company https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08528H27N

I have the above one and they do work great... these do retain the markings on the socket so far.

These are "CR-V Steel". Hand tools are made from this steel. If you want something that will last make it CR-MOLY.

According to Textron, a maker of hand tools, it really isn't a significant difference between a tool made of Chromium-Molybdenum (CR-Moly) or Chromium-Vanadium (CR-V) steel.
Quote :
Chromium-molybdenum and chromium-vanadium produced with equal care and hardened to similar levels have highly similar mechanical properties. In fact, they are almost chemically identical, the main difference being far less than 0.5% by weight in the form of molybdenum or vanadium. Therefore, we cannot say that either chromium-molybdenum or chromium-vanadium is better. Either Cr-Mo or Cr-V is an excellent choice for all normal uses of wrenches, hand-driven sockets, impact sockets, ratchets, and other similar tools. The metallurgical difference between Cr-Mo and Cr-V is insignificant in these applications. Instead, the consistency of the material, the tool geometry, the hardness to which it is heated, and the design and implementation of the manufacturing process control the differences in hand tool quality.
