it's okay for work use. I felt like the color was off for being an IPS panel and even after calibrating it, it still wasn't great when compared to more premium monitors. I have an asus vg259qm, dell s2721, g3223q, hp x27q (with the better panel), and 48" oled to compare and they all look noticeably better than the dell; the asus is a hair better but almost the same.

I picked it up before as a gift to my sister in law and for $150, it's hard to beat if you want to mainly use it for gaming but for work, the text clarity/color accuracy was meh.

bought one during BF 2022 sale. i like it so much i put away my 27" 1440p dell gsync monitor and considerin gselling it on ebay. i got one of those msi 144hz 27" 1080p gamin gmonitors durin gthe sale last year and i am using the 2522hg exclusively for gaming now. works great 240fps on cod mw2 (2022) loving the fps bump from 144fps. super buttery smooth and you see extra stuff pop out and extra detail with the added fps. it just looks like a smooth cartoon i can't even explain it you just have to get one.

all my gamer friends talked smack for droppin from my 1440p 144hz monitor to a 1080p 240hz monitor but i have zero regrets. playing on 144hz you can notice a difference after playing 10 hours of mw2 or even overwatch. @ $150 it's a steal buy it now.

so i live in socal - another huge benefit for me personally dropping down from 1440p to 1080 even though it has more fps is the heat generated from the GPU/CPU. dropping to 1080p has dramatically lowered the heat expelled from the case as compared to running @ 1440p. the difference in the heat inside my room is significant and i have not throttled due to heat since dropping down to the 1080p monitor. also, since i've eliminated the heat issue i don't get the crazy fps dips and gpu throttles i believe i was experiencing while playing @ 1440p. just food for thought.

i have mine paired with a 6900xt and i7-12700k z690 ddr4 combo from micro center.

Same $150. There was a capital one shopping 30% back I used too and some chase stuff, so I only ended up paying like $90, but it's well worth $150 and far better than anything else at this price point
