I paid only one month of service, and let it sit in the box. It's automatically unlocked 180 days later.

Am I the only one terrified of going into a metro store. Have read so many horror stories of mangers making up their own rules (requiring insurance, buying cases, requiring 3 months of service)

Maybe not everyone knows this trick. I certainly didn't. Are you basically saying we can get any new google voice number for $3 and use that as a porting number to get these deals? No headaches/fuss/issues?
yes and yes and yes

Please explain why people will pay u $7 when they can get a GV number for $3 easily and not have to deal with using your personal boost mobile chicago number to port? LMAOLMAOLMAO
When you go to a MetroPCS store and they see it's a landline aka Google Voice number, they may not allow it. I am glad you have been successful porting over your GV number

You'll need to call 1-833-502-6678, tell the voice prompt you want to port out, and ask the representative for your port out pin, which is a 6 digit number.

You'll need both your port out number and possibly your 4 digit account number at Metro to port in. Make sure you also have your Boost account number. The 4 digit number is only if they needed to manually port you out (from Boost).
Can I ask which area store you went to?

Nonsense. Many people have ported GV numbers to metro already. Save the BS for someone else that will believe it.

The landline issue was a real challenge for me in the past. I did try once to get a number form numberbarn, it was a land line and I got shut down. So I have always just gone to ebay to get a boost number to port. Works everytime.

You can go into you GV settings and relock your number. Not sure if you would need to pay another $3 if you want to unlock again.
Maybe I should have been more clear. I don't want to re-lock it myself. I want to know if Google re-locks it automatically after a period of time if I don't port it to another carrier. In other words, if I unlock it, does my number stay unlocked until I get around to porting it in another month or two?

It remains unlocked until you relock it.

I got the same response as well plus tax on the full MSRP for each phone. Like $250 OTD

Visited two corporate stores in Dublin, CA and Livermore, CA both are out of stock. one of the store manager was saying they might not get any more stock and next model may be available for 99$ or 129$ soon.
Hope i can get that deal.

First they tried to get me to pay $49 for each phone, then they tried to tell me that my port in number was ineligible for port in so the price was now $249 for each phone. This hook and bait, and deceptive marketing practices will be reported to Corporate

Apparently tomorrow they are rolling out no activation fee so it might be work out if you want the 11? Not sure if it's store wide or select stores. District manager told me that

I got this a few days ago. Walked in and told the guy I wanted the FREE iPhone 11 deal, they ported my number there and everything. They even gave me a pos free tablet for being a new customer. Yesterday (TMobile Tuesdays) I got some free stuff. I paid $85 out the door for the phone and tablet. (I asked if the extra was taxes, the guy said yeah. Looking at the receipt I'm not really sure what I paid for lol, but $85 otd I'm not complaining). For the record it was a corporate store in Queens, NYC
