I paid only one month of service, and let it sit in the box. It's automatically unlocked 180 days later.

Am I the only one terrified of going into a metro store. Have read so many horror stories of mangers making up their own rules (requiring insurance, buying cases, requiring 3 months of service)

I tried this the first thing tonight when I got the phone. Answer is No. I put in my post-paid T Mobile sim and it did not work.
T mobile you can change sims without calling CSR? On my Sprint migrated Tmobile service I have to call in to swap my sim to another phone. Sucks but i don't know why.

I went to an affiliate store in central FL. Asked the girl if they had any iPhone 11s. She said yes, so I waited 1/2 hour to be waited on. She nor a second support person ever heard of the promo. I told her it was on their website.! She called the manager on speakerphone and first he mumbles something about charging 3 months in advance. Then he told her they didn't have any phones for this promotion. She looked bewildered and I asked her again after he hung up. She confirmed that they did indeed have 2 on-site. I tried to complain to corporate but impossible to get anyone to speak to .. who is not a front line telephone operator in the Philippines. These stores need to have their franchises pulled for making up their own rules. I am 1.5 hours away from any Corporate locations. Needless to say, I am pretty pi**ed.

Where on the offer terms says we only need to pay for 1 month $60 service? Because the corporate store worker says I need to pay for 3 months first

TMO customer service has no control over scummy dealers. So, you're wasting time. Forget about it and wait for another deal.

I just called the corp store in my area and thats what they said. YMMV as it may be certain stores or areas they are doing it.

IMPORTANT FOR THOSE WHO WERE TOLD THE PHONE IS $49 OR THAT YOU NEED TO PAY TAX ON FULL MSRP.

I went to a corporate store in PA. They told me the phone is $49 and it will be credited to my account after 3 months of service. They said the tax on iPhone will be about $60 (on full MSRP) and they said ~$160 OTD per piece. I was like whatever, since I already came here, I will take it, given that trade in at Apple is $200 anyway. So I requested two lines.

The lady started processing the transaction and she was like - wtf the phone is $0! All the workers were confused but thing is - whatever they tell you, has no bearing, it's the system in corporate stores that dictates the conditions of the deal. And yeah, tax was $0 because the price of the phone is $0.

My total bill came up to $153.52 for two phones. They did something funky I guess because the prices of the lines were $69 (nice) and $39, so I guess they added insurance? Anyway, whatever, it's a great deal still.

So guys, stop spreading misinformation. The deal is real and it works in corporate stores.

Plus, they said Google voice isn't eligible. Well, I told them to put it in the system and it worked. and I unlocked it while being at the store so the process is immediate.

Good luck.
