Also just noticed. Target has 8 packs on sale with 25% off which also comes out to 69 cents a bottle which is good since it is every flavor. Additionaly if you order 7 packs comes out to $35.77 as there is $10 off $50 purchase on grocery for same day orders on my Target Circle which is 65 cents a bottle.

Gatorade had such a monopoly on "sports drinks" in the 90s that it was basically the only thing like it at the time. And the fact that this body armor company was like fk that let's take gatorades dominating market share that was seeming impossible to penetrate is the random shit I think about.

Ingredients are so much better for you. I switched over two yrs ago from the Gator/Power-ade crap. I haven't tried this flavor but thr Orange one is great.

Poweraid came out in the late 80's. Maybe you weren't born then to remember that Coca-Cola's was answer to Gatorade dominating the 80's. Gatorade was Quaker then later bought by Pepsi in 2000. Coke bought vitamin water from 50-cent and Glaceau in 2007.
Then, Body armor is owned by Coca-Cola, their third attempt. This a coke vs Pepsi battle and one that is fun to watch from a marketing standpoint. You are correct about the 90's being dominate for Gatorade even though Powerade existed.

Similar to beer distribution you can't make a company big or get on a grocery shelf unless you are one of the big companies with strong distribution. Gatorade/Pepsi still holds about 70% of market share today.

How did you get 69 cents each? Isn't it 82 cents by the calculation $9.78/12=82 cents?

You're not even going to mention Pepsi's attempt before buying Gatorade? All Sport. It was weird because it was lightly carbonated.

Odd. It's making me get one now and also setup subscribe and save. Normally I don't have to get one instantly. That is messing with me getting to 5 for this month.

I get the BodyArmor Lite at Costco. Almost no added sugar and tastes great. Even with the Lite version, I have to water it down.
