I wouldn't use it on clear retainers imo. Over time it clouds them, they make some that are specifically made for clear appliances that I believe cloud them less.

For the aligners it's fine because they're replaced frequently enough, but retainers I'm being extra cautious so they last longer

I only wear my retainers to bed, so I don't care how they look... but I have used this on mine for 17 years and have not replaced the retainer

I use this on my Smile Direct Club clear retainers and over three years haven't seen any clouding. I also don't brush them (causes micro abrasions that bacteria love to hide in). As long as you always brush and floss your teeth before putting them in and use this stuff daily, you won't have any issues. No odor, no stains. It's good stuff.
