Yes, so many junk "deals" on so-called "slickdeals" frontpage, that are just paid advertising for products gathering dust in Amazon warehouses, or in China.
To be fair, for anyone concerned about the wood, what makes this deal great is the fact you are getting 6 (light weight) "decorative" brackets for $12, or $2 each. If you're looking for light decor/utility that isn't going to pass the 40lb limit (or 20lb per bracket from what I can guess) they suggest per shelf, the wood itself won't really matter much.
Cheapest decorative brackets in Lowes or Home Depot near me have been min $6, so YMMV in regards how good this deal may be to you. Bonus if you're a DIYer since finding a replacement to the cheap boards shouldn't be too hard.
