I'm going through the stages of grief with video card prices. I've been through denial, grief, anger, depression, but I refuse to enter acceptance. I will just keep playing on my gtx 1070 until it's not supported and then possibly quit playing pc games because I'm stubborn. I can run H.L. right now, so I'm fine with that.

My used 980ti has been keeping me in the game (going to hop on WZ 2.0 tonight in fact). I paid 75 bucks for it pre-covid when a coworker upgraded.

I've had to replace 1 of the fans twice now, but she's holding strong.

I've kinda told myself I'd do a 6700XT @ $300, or a 6800 < $400. Had I heard about the BestBuy clearance earlier today, I would have jumped on an nvidia deal.

Cards are in stock and not selling, our day shall come!

I was hoping the 6800xt was around 350 after waiting to replace my 2080, had to get another cheaper card, got a card from amazon that looks new, 5700xt for 185 to replace a radeon fury x which my 8 year old daughter needs to upgrade the onboard 5600g, I wasnt able to hold the line

Not true at all. Lots of lower end cards are a sidegrade for a 980ti/1080ti.

The 6700XT is better, but IMO not enough to justify buying right now.

So tired of the hold the line stuff. Heard that tripe leading up to Christmas with promises of huge price drops. Guess what - it didn't happen. If the price looks good to you and it fits your budget, please buy. Waiting because random folks hope prices drop is a failed strategy.
