Watch for deals posted by Slickdeals staff; they'll be disproportionately posted to FP. Some product brokers brag that they have connections with staff, and can get their products/sales posted FP.

I work for a brand selling products online, and a SD FP deal was a talking point of switching from one broker to another. Was funny to see how they tried to explain SD to random people that didn't use it.

I have these exact arms, albeit under a different name. They hold up my x2 27 inch monitors perfectly. One in normal landscape mode and the other in a vertical view. Definitely worth it at this price. Definitely frees up desk space.

I bought these and then the fully articulating ones because micro adjustments are just easier. These are very difficult to adjust even if you think "I won't need to adjust my monitors ever."

These are good but the others are better. My two cents.

I literally bought this exact product in August 2021 for my then new work from home job.

I paid $16.46. It has never actually been sold for $37 and this is almost certainly a paid post for this mod.

That said, it worked perfectly well for the year I used it before I got a standing desk. Felt solid and sturdy. It's a slickdeal for what you pay, but it's not a slickdeal from a percent off standpoint.

Not totally sure about compatibility with this particular stand, but can consider looking into using something like this for (limited) height adjustments: VIVO Height Adjustable VESA Adapter for Single 13 to 27 inch Monitor, Accessory Bracket Kit for Individual Screen, Black, Stand-VAD3 https://a.co/d/9MatNDr

I have one of those Costco glass standing desks. I'm pretty sure this will crack my desk if I try to use it. Would the plywood help?

I prefer hydraulic arms. Worth more IMO.

Can the arm extensions be connected to form one long arm?

Honest question but why is it a pain for standing desk? They are installed and will move up with the desk?
Or y'all talking about adjusting the screen when standing?
Generally speaking, your will want your monitor to be higher up when you are standing versus when you are sitting, otherwise you'll be craning your neck down to look at it (if the height is appropriate while sitting).

If your desk isn't sturdy, such as a cheap pressboard IKEA desk, this type of stand with a small, clamped base could eventually cause damage to the desk and tip over as the material in the desk collapses due to the pressure. If you have a desk like that then you'll want to use a stand with a wide base to distribute the weight across the surface and lower the pressure. Just something to keep in mind. It shouldn't be an issue if your desk is made of real wood.
Are you saying getting one with a wide base that isn't a clamp? Thanks for the heads up btw!

I have this. It is excellent.

I bought an extra arm that is shorter and came with a laptop tray. Mounted it to my solid wood Husky manual crank adjust sit/stand worktable and it is excellent.

I honestly don't see any reason to spend more. Set it up once, take the time to get it dialed in and tighten it up. No reason to spend so much on one of these things.

SD is not the same anymore.

Pole height is only 16.5"? Max arm height is 20.4"? How does the arm go higher? This doesn't sound tall enough for ideal screen height, at least for me.

holds up to 17.6lbs? Is it real or exaggerated?
