This is a low price for this game. It's kind of amazing that Nintendo can continue to charge $40 for a game that came out in 2017.

One of my favorite plays of the entire Switch gen. Bought the digital but this would be good for the physical collection.

I was late to the "switch" party (just got one 2 weeks ago) - and of all the ~6 games Ive purchased since then, this one is hands down my favorite. Its great because the controls are pretty straightforward, and its one of those games you can just pick up and enjoy. Visuals are amazing, and the 3d to 2d transitions are really well done.

Same, got one about 2 weeks ago but haven't bought any games yet. I just signed up for the online expansion pack to play N64 games and tried the demo of the new Kirby game

This game is peak 3D Mario platforming.

My 5 year old is very new to videogames but assist mode holds your hand *just* enough: you're giving guidance arrows to your next objective, more health that regenerates & what normally would be a fall to Mario's death places him back to a safe spot.

I've seen comments on previous slick deal posts about how some of the moons are to obtain (e.g. just talking to someone). No kidding dude, you're describing 20 moons out of >700. Obviously not a challenge for a grown adult but for a kid, it's still an accomplishment.

Anyways, so worth it at this price!

I agree 100%. I appreciate all of the nods to older Mario games. The 2D transitions are really cool. It's one of those games that makes you want to keep playing to see what they'll do next.

Thanks to all the fan boi out there, and it helps to have SD staff frequently promoting nintendo games which I am sure it has to do with all the heavily discounted price.

The only problem with Nintendo is that when it comes to Mario games they release 1 or at the max 2 games per console. Others are shameless ports of older games which most would have already been played with the previous consoles. What has also been missing off late is the multiplayer mode which you can enjoy with family or friends without having to buy more consoles. Wish Nintendo beings back the 4 player multiplayer mode on regular games instead of just on Mario kart and the boring Mario party series.

1 or 2 max for per console?

The switch alone has:
Mario odyssey
Mario + rabbids
Super Mario deluxe
Mario party
Super Mario world 3d
Bowsers fury
Mario strikers battle
Paper Mario origami king
Super Mario maker 2
Mario tennis aces

Even though i love mario. Grew up playing mario 64. I went skeptical on playing this game for all the hype it was getting. Was surely to be dissapointed so i kept my expectation low. To my surprise, is one of the best game i've ever played. Top 10, surpassed all my expectation. Very lovely game. I rented it in gamefly but im buying a hard copy now. Would love to replay this game all over again

Loved Mario Galaxy and Mario sunshine. Micro 3d world was great with my older sister. This game is probably sick. I just hate giving Nintendo money lately with their crybaby project m wah wah bullshit

Maybe you missed the ports of older consoles part from my comment. Faithful Nintendo users must have played all of these games in Wii and WiiU already. Except for odyssey, mm2 and paper mario all are available in older consoles. Mario + rabbids series is not even developed by Nintendo.
