2000 lumens is fine for a light controlled room (mine is 1800); 3D isn't really a thing anymore; I've yet to see a review that says the contrast is bad; keystone (? lol) and auto focus are inane—setting up a projector once is no big deal; I'd imagine most people are using a different device than the built in apps, but from what I've read, LG's OS is one of the best (it's actually a strength on most reviews).

I'd also imagine most people would be hesitant of buying a projector from a company with limited track record and whose company name looks like a random mishmash of letters you see on Amazon peddling trash products. Big purchases require a company is around to provide firmware updates and handle warranty claims (and spare parts).

Basically, unless you've demoed this projector or seen it in action, your comments are unhelpful to people looking to buy.
Somewhat disagree with your comments.

Just like you've mentioned, I've also tried multiple projectors ranged from $100, 2k/3k.
And currently owns Vava 4k, Optoma cinemax p2 and d2, Samsung premiere, and LG hu70lab and LG hu810pw (im not going to go over all portable projectors since they are not in same league, but do have Xgimi halo plus, elfin, and Wemax dice)

As Paranoid_yet mentioned 2000 ANSI lumen is sufficient enough in light controlled room. But real issue here is that each company's advertised ANSI lumens can be quite deceiving. Among projectors that you mentioned one projector that actually gives you over 2000 Ansi lumen is Dangbei Mars pro 4k. Measured ansi lumens of Xgimi Horizon pro is merely 1200 ansi lumens. (Per The Hook up review: https://youtu.be/ZDB_dqR2EWA)
By the way, dont get me wrong I do love Xgimi projectors..

Currently my go to projector for movie night is LG hu810pw which have brightness rated as 2500 Ansi lumens but fact is it is far brighter (or look brighter with high contrast ratio) than any projectors that I mentioned above.

Also 2 laser sources (by the way LG hu710 uses mixture of laser and LED source), with built in adaptive contrast, Iris adjustments function. It produces the best image that I've seen under 3k projectors.

And if you've used LG hu710, you would probably know that keystone correction is not really required on this projector (unless you are trying to project screen from extreme angle), since it comes with pretty wide/handy manual lens adjustment knob,
with Lens Shift: Horiz ± 24% | Vert ± 60%, you can easily move your sceen around without losing your picture quality.
On top of it, honestly, I would never recommend anynody to use keystone correction. You are sacrificing too much quality juat to make screen look right.

Also I'm not sure what you meant by limited built in apps? hu710 comes with the latest Web OS which provides flawless services to any major streaming apps you can name. (Of course including Netflix) And i believe it is far superior system than Android TV. Especially with extremely easy screen mirroring option, user friendly interface with fast response.
Only 2000 ANSI lumens. No 3D. Suboptimal black levels. Not a smart projector with auto keystone or auto focus. Limited built in apps. For a similar price or less, you can get a Dangbei Mars Pro 4K laser, Xgimi Horizon Pro 4K LED, or Optoma UHZ45 laser. I tried to post deals for a couple of these but they kept being removed.

For me at least, 3D is still the primary reason to own a projector.

At this price, why not? I have this in a light controlled room and it's awesome. Didn't feel like replacing a bulb.

I use the same projector, so I am always wondering what a significant upgrade would be also. I am very pleased with the performance of the 45ES. The contrast levels are awesome. (throwing at 100" AT screen].
I was researching the LG projector cuz its back on sale thru Beach Camera for $1299, thru Wal-Mart. I have the same Sony 45ES and was wondering if the LG would be any better or maybe even worse. Based on the comments I read in this thread seems like the LG would be a downgrade. I was looking at the specs of the Sony 45ES and did not realize it supports almost 4k resolution thru upscaling using their reality creation software. I think owners of this projector will probably be disappointed with any 4K projector other than maybe another Sony, which is substantially more than most projectors. We will probably be best served by using it until 8K projectors become the standard as most 4K ones will be no better or even a downgrade.
