Decided to bite as my Qanba Obsidian[amazon.com] has been acting funky lately with missed button presses and a mushy feeling joystick; thanks OP. There's also 2% cash back via an online site that I find very reliable which I took advantage of. (Can't mention name here)
I was going to pay around $50 shipped for replacement Sanwa parts. But for about $30 more I could get a new stick that also has Sanwa parts and I can switch components between the Qanba Obsidian and Dark Matter as needed to have a working stick for quite a while on the cheap. Well, that's the mildly retarded plan at least
Total order was $93.02 as I got a few other items to take advantage of the free shipping. In particular, I purchased five 2ft extension cords[monoprice.com] as I find them useful for managing large power bricks that take up half the space on a standard power strip. If you are into old school retro consoles you know what I mean and how annoying the problem is. (Looking at you Colecovision)
I also got a 3pack of Hook and Loop Fastening Tape[monoprice.com] to help manage cable clutter. If you do purchase the stick, I recommend getting a few other things that you might need to take advantage of the free shipping as I'm too much of a cheap basterd to pay for delivery costs on those previously mentioned items.
Also, I've heard a few users at Reddit complain that these Dark Matter sticks are using counterfeit Sanwa parts[reddit.com]. It would be nice if people here could confirm or disproves these claims; I'll try to post pics of the parts for future reference at least...
My friend just told me that the PS5 has a huge flaw with fighting games where the USB ports cause Input lag so trust me no one is going to be playing competitive fighting games on PS5 anyway.

I think it's great that it's universal. But would it work for the ps5?
It works with a ps4 controller connected to a ps5 playing a ps4 game if that's what you're asking about. I haven't tried usb-c cable to connect a ps5 controller though but most likely will not work
With this price, it's a no brainer. it won't make you good in fighting games though lol

Never thought I'd see a fight stick on here, really don't need a 4th but this one is tempting
If you set up a deal alert for "arcade stick" they pop up occasionally; I wouldn't call it rare. I got my Qanba Obsidian via a posted bargain that I found here at least...

For the price you can't beat getting a chassis with full Sanwa parts for $80ish though, even if you want to drop a Brooks into it.
EDIT: FWIW several reviewers said they didn't notice any input latency since it piggybacks off a native controller. YMMV.

Use to play fighters quite a bit at arcades and on consoles, but I'm looking to get back into fighting games on PC and need a good, mod-able stick.
