This is back in stock.
Home Depot [homedepot.com]
has 18v 1/2" Mid torque Impact Wrench (battery and charger) plus a free tool for $169 plus free shipping or store pick up.

It is the same deal that made it to FP today around 3 pm Eastern but went OOS or HD site said the promo is no longer available but I kept checking and I was able to order it.
There are ten free tools to pick from, I picked the circular saw for obvious reasons.

Copy pasting details from HD site ( to make my post look good, of course)

Details:

Model #R86012K
650 ft./lbs. of Breakaway Torque
500 ft./lbs. of Fastening Torque
3 speeds and Auto-Tightening Mode provides adjustable speed and power
Auto-Tightening Mode auto-stops when fastening to prevent over tightening bolts
Auto-Tightening Mode in reverse, delivers full breakaway torque, then stops when the bolt is loose
Anvil with Friction Ring
LED Light for increased workspace visibility
Die-cast gear box for increased durability
Compatible with RIDGID's AC13B01N Protective Boot
The included 4.0 Ah Battery and 18V Charger are compatible with all RIDGID 18V Tools
100% Compatible with all RIDGID 18V Batteries
Includes: R86012 18V Brushless 4-Mode 1/2 in. Mid-Torque Impact Wrench with Friction Ring, Belt Hook with Screw, 4.0 Ah Battery, 18V Charger, and Operator's Manual
RIDGID: Build For a Lifetime

I missed the deal first time it was posted today and was upset and kept checking and it came back. FWIW,The online Order history doesn't show my impact wrench but shows only the circular saw but Print Receipt and Email shows them.

I noticed the HD page for this tool shows max output battery in the pics but I don't think it is a max output 4 ah battery.

Enjoy the deal.

No. If you go to the product page it says that it can't find the option you picked (and it only offers you more expensive options that don't have a free gift) - but if you click to choose your free gift anyway, then a pop-up comes up that lets you pick and that has a button for adding both of them to your cart. You can then buy.

How good is this for removing lug nuts from car wheels?
It should take most lug nuts off. I have the high torque one and for the first time It was unable to remove lug nuts. I was helping a disabled motorist with a Cadillac Escalade and I had to use a breaker bar and stand/jump down on the bar to break it loose. It still took a while. Then I used the impact wrench to remove them the rest of the way. I'm not sure who put the lug nuts on that tight.

This will have no problem with any Lug nuts.
I use on an F250 and they are much tighter than normal car lug nuts.
No issue at all.

I'm in the Milwaukee platform but for 70 bucks, I don't mind having an extra battery and charger around.

I just bought this tool 3 weeks ago, and already registered it for the LSA. Will see if I can buy this deal and return the new tool with my older receipt to get a price adjustment…

Debating circular as add on. Never had cordless circular before and can see major advantage over my corded, mainly not snagging the cord on stuff. Anyone got experience with this circular bogging down? For other cordless stuff like drills and drivers it's not a big deal if the tool bogs down, just finishes the job a little slower. But if a circular bogs down you get a crappy cut.
I have a comparable brushless 7 1/4 Ridgid. I'm just a DIYer, but I've never ran into issues with ripping any kind of lumber (boards, 2x4s, etc). Let the blade do the work and my cuts have always stayed cleaned.

The auto mode on this is why I'm getting this. Just need to decide what I'm going to do with the Ryobi wrench kit i got for $50 last month 🤔

Is there any way to buy this with the Circular saw as the free tool and return just the impact but keep everything else?

Or Even better would be get the Circular saw kit and a multi tool for this price?

The 2 items are prorated at checkout, you can see the cost of each, so u can return either one, 77 for the wrench and 99 for the saw

It is worth it to return the impact wrench and keep the prorated tool (angle grinder) instead? It seems it is much better deal to keep the impact wrench since you get free charger/battery.

I don't have much experience removing lug nuts, but why is an impact wrench needed once the lug nut has been broken loose? Wouldn't any regular wrench or a driver with socket adapter be able to do the job?

Impact wrench with battery and charger is a single unit and the other tool is another unit. You can either keep the impact wrench kit or the bonus tool and return the other.

One way for you to get a circular saw and multi tool is to place two orders - one with impact wrench kit and circular saw, second with impact wrench kit and multi tool. And return impact wrench kits from both the orders and keep the other two tools. You won't get any batteries or chargers with this combination...

It can't be slightly finicky when you don't cut in a straight line but I will never go back to a corded. I have had it for close to 3 years. Use it for farm work. Maybe once every month. I would not hesitate to get it.

I just picked up the smaller 3/8 Ridgid stubby with 2V battery and charger for $75 from DTO. Thoughts on which one is better? I also have the 1/2 Octane one but I'm thinking perhaps this one may be better then the 3/8? Thanks

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. Now gotta decide to do this or discount tools direct blemished.

Sucks I bought the 3/8 mid range impact wrench kit last year via a homedepot sale. Although its perfect for both our cars and truck so cant really complain.

If you got the brushless 3/8 mid range impact wrench I got one of those last year and its been perfect for what I need it for (Tire changes on 2 vehicles, one is a Tundra twice a year).

For most cars, impact wrench will loosen lug nuts so you don't need a breaker bar.

This deal has been posted three times already. It appears not to be dying. Is Ridgid coming out with a newer model or Home Depot trying to get rid of huge stock.
