I ordered one blindly the last time these came up circa November 2021. Same price. It was Back ordered.
In the meantime I went to a guitar center and found the JS Series and other Jackson's. They are so poorly finished. I mean the frets and wood almost like it might cut you while playing. Felt so cheap like handling a piece of rough plywood from the hardware store. I cancelled the order since it had not shipped.
The good thing I'll say is the pricing is usually great on Jackson's and they are very small, light, and slim necked so it makes for super easy playing for beginners. Quality of the guitar is not great.
I own monoprice and squiers for comparison and they felt much nicer than all the Jackson's I tried. Pricing is comparable.
Fenders, Ibanez, Schecter, and Gibson on a whole next level (for finish quality). The pricing on these will never be comparable.

I did a lengthy post on an earlier sale by Jackson. The company made a conscious decision to put profit over quality and it shows big time. They're still riding their name of quality guitars of which I own several made in Japan Jackson's. If you're buying this guitar to play it a few times and hang it on the wall then you'll get your money's worth. If it's going to be your everyday guitar, understand you're going to need to do work to it. I didn't have the problem of poor quality feel that an above poster mentioned. Rather the thing played like a dream right out of the box, but very soon a few of the tuners disintegrated internally and a peace fell off of the bridge and one of the locking nut holes stripped out and I had to replace the entire locking nut with american-made steel versus the Chinese crap. Just my opinion but for very light use or with the understanding you'll need to work on it, I would stay away.

I bought it to mod so It's in pieces right now. But while the original strings were on it I didn't find any concerning problems and it played surprisingly well. The only issues that I found was the locking nut was a hair smaller out of spec than all of my other guitars and the tremolo cavity was very poorly finished. However, I can fix all of that easily. Only other thing I'm going to do is upgrade the Floyd with stainless steel hardware and maybe put in some new pickups. Most guitars in this price range expect a little bit of work and set up
