I still can rock my OG copy with the $30 Director's Cut digital upgrade I got a while back. But if that disk ever breaks, then I'll have to re-buy the game in full anyway.

Just know that if you do go for the PS4 version, they do charge for the PS5 digital upgrade bump. However, there is some benefit to getting it for PS5 if you want to maximize its capability over there. It does utilize the controller more effectively with its available features, and you do get to play the game up to 4k mode, and it will be able to make the solid state storage work well enough to perform nicely.

If you want compatibility and don't care about the PS5-specific features, go for the PS4 version. If you want to enjoy the game's full potential with all possible features available, go for the PS5 version.

I bought the PS4 Director's Cut version for $9.99 NEW at GameStop and upgraded it to the PS5 version for $9.99.

NOTE: If you claimed the PS Plus Legends offer, you have to contact PlayStation and ask them to remove the license for Legends. If you DON'T, Sony will ask you to upgrade for $29.99/$19.99 (with paid PS+ account)

Every single time this gets posted. You and everyone who upvoted you probably aren't even going to play it. If you actually wanted it you wouldn't mind the extra $10. You just want to feel like you're getting a deal. Plus you're gonna be waiting a while if it ever comes down

This game is well worth $70. If you are so entrenched in getting a good deal to save $10, then I have nothing for you.

It's kind of silly if you're itching to buy a game, but waiting several months for a price to hit $20. There's a good possibility that this won't happen for this game until black Friday. If you have a bad backlog then yeah, it makes sense to just buy it later. But I don't see the sense in waiting that long to save $10. I was able to buy Ratchet and Clank last year for around $30 and then trade it in for GameStop trade in credit for nearly the same amount I bought it for new (~$30). If want to then buy it in the far future, I can buy for dirt cheap or whenever it gets to a $20 price point (if I care to).

Stray is awesome and lives up to the hype generated last year. Look up the other games on the Extra tier and see if you like them. Sony has added quite a bit of games on that tier. In my case it was worth every penny upgrading for 4 months. I now have to wait for a deal on the basic PS plus since $60 is not a line I'm willing to cross considering my backlog of owned games.

Ghost is hands down one of my favorite games on PS4, and I usually hate open world games. I played this on a base PS4 and it had some of the most amazing visuals I have ever seen. The story, the dialog, everything was so good.... I didn't notice I was side-questing my life away aka Farcry.

Since then I have acquired a PS5, but I don't know that I want to replay it, much less at a $30 price tag. I gave my PS4 disc to a friend, and I'm not usually one to replay anyway. PS5 is supposed to offer a framerate and visual upgrade, for what that is worth.

TLDR if you haven't played this game you are missing out.

Money value of time doesn't seem to factor in people's calculations sometimes.

Spending an extra $10 to play something you want is one of the easiest splurges ever.
