That's a rather narrow minded recommendation. This would make a perfectly adequate data/game drive for most people and an equally workable primary drive for a budget build. Not everyone needs or wants to spend on the absolute fastest components.

What this drive does need to get the most out of it is a PCIe 4.0 bus. It would not be a good performer in an older PCIe 3.0 machine.

Got this drive during BF. It is the fastest drive aside from the 990 Pro.

I have a MacBook M1 Pro 14" which has thunderbolt 4 I believe. Will this be good to use for video and photo editing? And what enclosure would you guys recommend for this?

This is a budget NVME M2. Don't put it in your PS5

Hey did someone call? Lol... I actually had a 512GB M2 QLC drive... Ran great until I filled it up to about maybe 2-10GB left on it. I then tried to copy data from it to another drive, and it froze... Well I thought it froze, it was actually going about a few KB/minute transfer (not even MB...), But I endured because I had really important data on there. About 4 hours later it was done copying. I'm not kidding... QLC drives when filled up will remind you of 3.5" floppy disks.
