*Note: Only the Verizon Version of this phone supports mmWave, The Boost Mobile/Unlocked/AT&T/T-Mobile and other versions support Sub-6 only. Also just like 95% of Moto's it does not support eSim.

Boost locks the phone for 12 months and then you can unlock it.

I was having the same issue . I signed up with the $40 plan. After the phone arrived I chatted with Boost on the app and asked them switch my plan to the $25 rate.
Since you say that you already received this phone, can you check the Motorola box it came in and tell us what the model number is for the one you received from Boost Mobile? Thanks

Flagship specs but don't expect flagship updates. Moto is a liar when it comes to updates. They're absolutely terrible at following through and dirt slow when they do the odd update. Buyer beware.

I'm a simple man, I see 512GB with Snapdragon 8 processor, for only $200. I buy.
How do you get it for $200 though? Looks like it's making me sign up for service

There was a time when all top tier phones were $200.
You're kidding, right?
They were $200 when you signed a 2 year contract, and you then paid more in service over the course of that 2 years

t-mobile disrupted that scam

It's still basically the same thing. It's just now bill credits over 24-36 months.

Wonder if the 12-month unlock requirement has to be continuous on the same number? Smilie Maybe buy four 3-months prepaid card from BB and activate them one by one. Wishful thinking.

An acquaintance of mine tried that; his phone didn't unlock and CS can't/won't help with it.

But this is Boost, so who knows if that was/wasn't a fluke.
