Dude have you read through any of the comments? With so many people still commenting that they missed the deal, it's obvious how many people don't take a little time browse through the comments to track the progress of the deal.

Anyone can get this deal whether your location has it in stock or not. Ask a Best Buy rep to order it for you and they will charge you the sale price. Simple as that. I know it's hard to comprehend Best Buy doing something right after the iPad price match fiasco from a couple of weeks ago but people really need to check the thread comments and stop asking the same questions over and over again

$220 for a Name brand 5.1 4k receiver? And speakers? And a sub? Maybe 10 years ago.

I just paid 250 for this receiver 2 months ago refurbished.

It's a solid device BTW. Paired it with a JAMO set.

I setup whole system yesterday. Sound is flat, definitely better then soundbar. Sounds like $220 item and not like $650.

Also, receiver and speakers shown in picture are not propotional. Speakers are tiny.
Means many will cancel, and many will pick it up. Seems a so so deal.

Did you go into the menu and adjust the equalizer? You should have tone controls, plus the parametric equalizer where you can bump the higher frequencies.

See the unboxing video below to show actual size.

I've yet to see someone take off the grills.
The satellites sound light, plastic like an htib, when she takes them out and sets them on the table.

Yeah, the speakers are landfill material but $220.00 is still a halfway decent deal on the RX-V385 receiver. Bestbuy had a recent sale on the V385 for $199.00 and a few of us got open box deals for $150.00. I think the original price tag of over $600.00 is what made this deal so popular.

If you used the setup mic, make sure it was totally silent, not even a fridge running in the next room. Then go in and tweak the settings to your liking. These are basic speakers so don't expect audiophile from them but any system takes a bit of tweaking to get dialed in.

Also try different placement and orientation of the sun. Usually a corner is best, sometimes port facing out, sometimes facing the wall.

It is .09 at 8 ohm, perfectly respectable for a low end receiver.

This video says the speakers have one 2.75 inch full range speaker, 6 ohm, and 83dB sensitivity. That's disappointing. Yamaha could have at least went with a 2 way design and not cheap sound bar style drivers. Always look for 8 ohm and 90dB or higher speakers. This receiver, even being entry level, is complete overkill for these plastic speakers. Yet it still may get warm due to the inefficient design of 6 ohm and 83dB rated speakers. No harm or foul as the receiver was never lower then $199 by itself. The 8" subwoofer basically cost $21 (vs the $40 Monoprice 8" sub recently listed). The satellites can be replaced down the road.

What exactly did you do at the store? The price will not show up until they actually get to the order placing process. If they just look up the price, it will show them the $650. Once they select in store pickup, it drops to $220.

Similarly if they scan the item in store with the handheld, it shows full price, but rings up at $220.
Customer service said he can only do a store pick up and started to order it. However he's not able to go past the 'store pick up' screen to take payment or place the order. He showed me the screen and price was $230~ after taxes.

Inventory shows nothing available within 100 miles of my zipcode. How are you all able to get it in store?

Bergen town center? Any left? Worth it for me to swing by tomorrow?
There was one sealed new. I picked up on Saturday, but if it was posted here, I'm sure it was bought already

This vs. the Q800b Samsung Dolby Atmos Soundbar? Ordered that for $260 on Buydig but wondering if this deals better? That retails insane at $900+ and sells for $600
I ordered that as well and canceled it

Got this and set it up last night. By far, much clearer and more cinematic sound than my aging sound bar 5.1 setup that cost roughly the same price, years ago.

Although I respect the jargon folks and their expertise, I can't imagine there's a better plug and play setup for this price. I suppose those guys are taking to each other, and that the level of effort they are describing to get a better setup falls well outside of the 80/20 rule here.
