YMMV Today I went to Walmart and noticed the iPad pros in the cage were marked down to $549 which seemed like a good deal. I asked her to take it out and indeed it was the 11" 3rd gen M1 ipad pro!! That's a pretty good deal marked down by $200

These things go for around that price. The M2 new ones are out, remember. I doubt a Walmart employee would just buy it at this price.

I just bought the 9th gen for 250 and barely use ipad (clearing emails, occasional book). Man I do not need this but I want it bad ever since I thought I was getting a pro for 400 bucks via tiger tirect

I know that Brickseek is now unreliable as far as showing inventory, often displaying "Unknown" - but it does show what price it would ring up at the store if it was there, right? Doesn't Walmarts website show availability by store, so the two in conjunction can help formulate an educated guess on availability?

That's accurate. Price display is usually correct. It's the inventory part that no longer works, thanks to a change on the Walmart side.

Anyone in the DC area tempted to go for the goose chase, don't! I checked almost all Walmarts within ~15mi and they ain't got nothing called iPad Pros!

What an absolute waste of time. What kind of Walmart expects to have such high sales volume that they actually stock iPad Pros in-store? Your average Walmart shopper is going to be more concerned about the 50 cent difference between Great Value and name brand - not high refresh rates, benchmarks, and the virtually indiscernable speed difference between an M1 and the base tier iPad.

There are probably 3 Walmarts nationwide where you can replicate this deal, and only because they made bad stocking decisions and need to get rid of them.
