See Scorch's 1-Star comments on AMZ after going through a big batch of these. "My experience with these drives is that they are pretty inconsistent.

The reliability and performance is hit & miss."

Yah' I'm skipping these.
Seem to last a year or so and most reviewers giving 5 stars to everything after just trying it for a week isn't enough.

Hit and miss drives, run chkflash to verify for bad blocks as there is a reasonable odds it will fail, and most reviewers don't bother and just live with corrupted data. if they pass they tend to last like any other, but its a hassle to return.

I bought one of these drives a few months ago. It's so bad it's basically not functional. It's read/writes aren't close to the reported values and at times any drive operation will hang for 20-30 seconds. Its a good price, but I couldn't in good conscience recommend these.

Cap goes over the hole where you put the key ring on? Interesting design.

It's funny I have these and they're fine. But maybe it's because I'm used to drives like this. I have WD usb 3 drives and those perform about the same as these. So they can read decently but writing speeds can be usb 2.0 speeds. But I used one of these as a Ubuntu bootable drive for a while and it worked just fine

The paint wears off. Because it's black you can't write anything on it. So you gotta put a sticker on it if you have trouble organizing your drives

My experience with this brand is not good. I bought two flash drives (not this specific one) and both did not work. I personally won't buy anything else from them. I had a similar experience with PNY micro SD cards. Bought two of them and both did not work. Maybe they were fakes in the amazon stock. Who knows. But I won't buy Team Group or PNY again.

I thought the same thing until I read "After thoughtfully considering the behavior of consumers, a hidden latch is added to the design of the C175 USB drive. When using the USB drive, plug the cap to the back to avoid the cap loss problem."
Well... not so thoughtful after all!
And let's not forget the "Charming with layering effect".
In for zero!

Dunno what picture you're looking at but it clearly looks like the intended use is to put the cap on the back which covers the keyring hole when you are exposing the USB plug.
