Just an FYI the bit holder/driver is not magnetic, and bits can fall out if you're not careful. Not sure why you'd choose not to have a magnetic bit holder...but that's the choice DeWalt has made with this set.

Net result of that is while I like the variety of bits in this set, and I often grab this first as it'll almost always have what I need for a job, I'll also take one of my magnetic bit holders off the workbench as well (as I can't trust the bit driver in this set). And (unfortunately) I've not yet found a magnetic bit driver that would fit in this case (or I'd swap it out).

Such a good set, but with a fatal flaw...YMMV.

According to the camels it's been the same price since October, so not really a SD. But, it's got a lot of what I needed, so ordered. Thanks OP.

Got 2 already. Pretty useful sometimes but the nut drivers are too small for most jobs.

You're a better man than me if you can turn properly torqued nuts larger than 1/2" (12mm) with a screwdriver handle. For me, most anything 3/8" (10mm) and up usually gets a socket instead.

The nut/screw driver included looks to be a rebadged Klein?

I also have this set and agree with you that the included driver is not great. I use the bits with my other bit drivers and power tools and the bits themselves are decent quality. I got this set for quite a bit cheaper though ($14.01), so this doesn't seem like a great deal.

I was just thinking if the bits are magnetic, never assumed the holder is not magnetic... What were they thinking.

Is there a different set that you would recommend that comes in a case like this kit, the bit holder being not magnetic is a real bummer

the drive is the same in those huge 100+ sets with sockets and what not. It was the STUPIDEST design from such a well known company. It's sturdy, but the lack of a magnet has caused me to lose a number of bits into Narnia...

Only use I can see for non-magnetic is for electronics, but it's DeWalt, not a computer accessories company…

Most electronics would not be all that adversely affected by magnetism these days. They would have to be REALLY magnetic for it to have any amount of affect.
