why dont you just name that supplier so we can google it. not all of them selling things for the same prices regionally.

The kingsford professional natural briquettes two pack from Costco are pretty amazing. I use them for cold winters and to change up B&B lump. Price is very good on sale beats this.

Briquettes are full of sand that's why they're so heavy. Get the wood not briquettes.

Still finding my way on what's best value, I find the cheaper hardwood lump is a lot of fine pieces and very few chunks, the fine pieces choke the fire. Need chunky hardwood charcoal at a reasonable price. Briquettes are good because they are uniform, and probably are easier to maintain temps. My best burns have been with chunky lump hardwood charcoal.

These are fine if you like briquettes. I use them when on sale. The price per lb is fine. Briquettes are all manufactured and shaped. I am using in a masterbuilt gravity series without any issues

I tend to use briquettes for grilling, and lump for smoking. That may be just personal preference, but i get a more uniform heat for direct cooking that way. These produce less ash than Kingsford, with a similar heat profile, and a little bit longer burn time

Yall need to go to your local restaurant charcoal supplier and try chefs best by royal oak, its 40lbs for like $20 and its amazing.
