Same reason I wouldn't buy the new cordless impact and the Toughsystem toolboxes. They should all have cords, lol.
Seriously though, I'm very surprised how this comes up on most every cordless tool thread I read. If you like tripping over cords, buy the less expensive saw. I bought the corded saw because I wanted 10". I wonder if anyone makes a cord adapter for dewalt cordless tools. If not, I think I found a million dollar idea.
This one also just doesn't have the same power as the corded version. So that's something that should be taken into account.
Damn. I really want an excuse to buy this but no room and no need as I already have a pretty decent table saw, but not a portable table saw.
I was the same, but once on the DeWalt platform including the FlexVolt grinder and circular saw, I saw this three years ago at Murdoch's at 379 just before Covid, INCLUDING a second battery so couldn't resist.
The portability is real along with the "lack" of logistics. I just needed one quick cut last week on a 2X6X10. Instead of pulling the miter saw out then pulling out the table saw, rolling it to the right point on the driveway, finding the 10 guage extension cord setting it up, and a half hour later finally able to cut the one board... OK, now put it all back and another 10 minutes or so. So, 35 or so minutes later I'm done.
Nope, this saw sits on an old table over the top of the standby generator, I grab it with one hand lift and grab with the other, walk 10 feet out the garage door, put it on the foldable work table and grab one of the 9AH batts right there and a quick check of the angles (always solid as a rock) and I'm cutting and done and it's all back in place in about 10 minutes... That was awesome...
