Read an article yesterday saying Funko has thousands of their Pop!s in storage and can't move the inventory so they are just going to "dump" them. It is more expensive for them to pay for storage than what the current market value is. Maybe they will donate the inventory or something, but I'd expect this is an effort to reduce tax liability to recoup some losses from overproduction. At any rate, their Pop!s will likely get more expensive toward the fall/black Friday season.
TL;DR If you like these types of collectables, buy them now while prices are low.
