Picked up a pair of these about 10 days ago when they were $195 on Ebay. NOTHING, can touch these as far as sound quality for under $200 , NOTHING!!! You will not be disappointed in them. Beware thou, they are large, even larger then they look in pics. The cherry color does not go w/ anything unless you have cherry speakers but you can easily wrap then for $5 with a piece of black vinyl wood wrap on Amazon. Also, if you have a receiver or amp with integrated EQ in it, you can really get them perfect by adjusting a few of the mid & high frequencies.. If your on the fence, get them, there fantastic at this price point!

Any bookshelf / elevation / speakers can be used. (Nothing stops to use the towers as surround/rears). Look at any 5.1 package deals ( with & without towers), they give you a guidance. I am using the RP-160M as rears for now.

If you have the space or stands for them , then YES, they make fantastic rear speakers! I am using a pair for my main surrounds and they sound great even better then my rp-502's! you can even use tower speakers for rears if you wanted to, overkill perhaps,. but nothing is stopping you!

These match the original rp line. I have them along with rp405c, rp280f, rp250s & rpc160 c.

These are perfect for rears because the size allows for flexibility when positioning and angling the rears to the main listening position.

these are like top of the line units for what you want them for and will sound great for next to nothing at only $195/pair--STEAL!! Great deal! If you can EQ them, you can get them to sound near perfect, which would allow them to go up against $1500 monitor studio speakers! so short answer, A big YES!

These are amazing, I have had them a few weeks now and I Eq'd them a bit to bump up the 1500hz feq and also lower some of the highs a tad. WOW, these can go up against $1500 studio monitors any day with easy for less then $200! Dollar for dollar best speakers you can buy for $195! Also, much better build quality then expected!

Thank you for the response, much appreciated!

Here's a newb question, what's the easiest way to EQ them?

I would also need to buy a Bluetooth receiver for these, right?

These are fine for rear speakers. Many people use them for just that. I have rp-600m's for my mains. I'll be picking up a pair of these for rears.

These are passive speakers. You'll need an amplifier to provide them power. Many modern integrated amps have Bluetooth streaming built in. Check out the Cheap Audio Man on YouTube if you need a fast recommendation or two that won't break the bank.
