FYI: Although the "2023 Line On Us P6" should only apply to people on the Magenta Max plan with no preexisting free lines, their system is allowing many people with existing free lines on Max to get the promo.

Ahh this would be nice, but my "$105" simple choice 3 line plan becomes $170 if I change to magenta max... the $80 4 line plan from google fi sounds very very very attractive lol.
And I'm grandfathered in on unlimited high speed tethering
I'm sure there's a few TMobile customers who are paying for 2+ lines and have not gotten free lines in the past, but this is pretty much a middle finger to all of the single-line customers paying nearly $90 a month who have gotten nothing. The people with 3/4/5/6 free lines already have nothing to complain about (but will anyway).
No shit I pay 90 a month for just one line... and I always get screwed

Does magenta military with 2 lines for $80 qualify? Also can the free line be used for home internet? How do you get Insider discount? Thanks in advance. 🌸

One more data point. I was told by some reps that the promo was not associated with my account. Added a line to my account (Magenta Max with 5 free lines) as eSim. After activation the line listed the 2023 Line on Us P6 discount. There was no $35 service fee for adding the line.
Was trying to do the same but the ability to add a new line with BYOD is throwing an error. So, I had to reach out chat via Tmobile app and pay $37 to get the line added as eSim. Because the function didn't work as expected to add a new line, they gave me the money back in the form of bill credit though. The new line shows up as "2023 Line on Us P6" under "Service Promotions" and I hope it wouldn't increase the bill from next month onwards. I now have 4 free lines and 3 paid lines on MAX plan.
Is there any way to use one of these free lines in tablet without actually converting from voice lines for data? Are there any specific tablets that can make this work where they can continue to get recognized as phones for tmobile ?
Cmon now. Are you telling me you never have gotten any free lines on SC? Are those not enough? What about when they converted al plans including SC to unlimited data? That was getting the shaft?
I have had SC with 4 free lines and 3 paid for over 10 years. After TM gave us unlimited data, I didn't think I would ever switch to any other plan.
However, when i started reading the insider discount thread, I discovered that I can actually switch, keep my free lines, and if you do it right, it actually doesn't really cost that much more, especially given the free Netflix (which i would pay for anyways), insider discount, and on top of that, all of these great offers for phones. When i get this free line, it brings me to 9 total lines which changes the billing system and will actually lower my monthly rate. Go look at a Tmobile line calculator spreadsheet for yourself.
So yeah, go ahead and keep your SC plan if you are happy, but don't complain about SC getting the shaft. You have gotten more of your share of benefits on SC and you could get even more if you switch and do it right.

Did you try to take advantage of a phone offer with this new line?
I am debating whether i should wait and see if I can take advantage of free phone or just get the free line, in case they "fixed" this for us with already free lines and you won't be able to o this tomorrow.
Edit: nevermind, the reddit thread says this is not valid for phone offers.

What phone do you have that has esim?
I have an S22 that I think does have esim capability but I can't figure out to get the esim to work.
