FYI: Although the "2023 Line On Us P6" should only apply to people on the Magenta Max plan with no preexisting free lines, their system is allowing many people with existing free lines on Max to get the promo.

So I tried doing it online and received an error concerning security and not verifying identity (I did not have this issue during the December promo). It said to call or go to store.
So i called and they said they would credit me back the $35+tax on my bill, so I proceeded. At the last step, they got the same error message. They said i must go to the store. However, i already know the store will not credit me back the $35.
Has anyone with this error successfully been able to do this without going to the store?
I had the same issue, haven't tried online yet though.
They might end up saying "Sorry, I've just checked and you are actually not available." I'm on a military plan currently and it happened a couple of times to me.
just got done with them....order is placed and sim card should be here Monday according to tracking they provided. We will see if anything gets canceled or maybe the might charge me for the extra line in which case i will cancel it
Yea I think my way to get the good deals now (magenta max, insider discount, free lines) is to cancel and wait until I can qualify for insider as a new customer.
Question, wife is currently on a Magenta Plus plan by herself, can she switch to Magenta Max and get a free line so she has 2 lines for the price of one or is this only available for people that have 2+ lines?
NM see its only for 2 lines or more

Assuming the terms are the same as in every other free line promotion of the past, you would have to wait 12 months to cancel any paid line on the account in order to maintain the free line going forward. If you cancel the paid line before 12 months of receiving the free line, the free line promotion goes away. Like the past promotions, I believe you need to have 2 paid lines on the account in order to get the free line so your plan wouldn't work because of this requirement as well.
I have friends and extended family members on my family plan. They pay a year in advance at a time. So if you get a free line, you could find someone who would want a cheap Magenta Max line for $20 or $25/month, effectively reducing your annual phone bill by say $240 or $300. Just make it clear the phone # stays with the account (have them use google voice to keep their current phone #) or when they leave and want to keep their number, go through the work of creating a Digits line to port out the Digits number w/o losing the free line (as the free line would get assigned another phone # once the Digits line is created). Or look into putting that phone sim into a mobile router/hotspot for internet access (with some technical finagling) sorta like T-Mobile's home internet offering.
So what's the cheapest way to do this so that I can get a free line?

I was offered 2023 Lou p1, I thought that ended. Anyway I didn't go for it. I'm gun shy when things don't line up with expectation. I've been lied to before and lost a few free lines. Not going through that again.

Magenta Max, with 3rd line free and December 2022 LOU, and I was able to add a free line via chat in the app yesterday. Right after adding P6 promo shows in the account.
So what's the cheapest way to do this so that I can get a free line?
There's no cheap way to get a free line with just a single Magenta Max line. The free line requires two paid Magenta Max lines. If you only have a single Magenta Max line right now, you'd have to add the second Magenta Max line (which costs $55/month with autopay for the second line) at which point you'd qualify for adding a third line which would be free.

Thank you! Could I end up getting four MM where two are paid and two are free? TMO's website is advertising that I get one free line with two paid Max lines. Now with this promo, won't I get another free line? If I have two paid and two free lines, will I be eligible for a 4-line autopay discount?
Also, since I'm already a current customer, will I ever be able to take advantage of an insider promotion? A quick search on Google shows that they're only for new customers. It'll be a pain just to migrate to AT&T and port back to TMO.
Was able to add the free line yesterday even though I already had free lines and promos on my account. I used iMessage chat and it was an easy process. Paid the $35 for SIM card but I've seen people do the eSim and avoid the fee.

Any data point to activating the new lines on eSIM? Do I have to do it at the time of activation or any time once the line has been added to my account?
